Different shelves are set up to hold different type and size of bottles - Bordeaux, Burgundy, Pinot Noir and even Magnum sizes. One cannot adjust the settings of the individual shelves. The wine cooler manual available on the BestBuy or Zephyr website has a diagram that provides details on how many bottles can be accommodated per shelf.
