A:Answer Really depends. I’ve mounted a sony5100 , canon m50 and a Nikon d5100 just fine with kit and prime lens. This gimbal is meant for mid size cameras. It will most likely work for your Sony a7iii if mounted with a prime or small lens. If you plan on using a big heavy lens, you will need the larger model gimbal. As far as software connectivity, the smart remote Wi-Fi app on the Sony should connect just fine to the gimbal regardless.
