“We have 9" ceiling & a 40" high 48" wide range. Will this hood work OK with a ceiling of that height or do we need something with a longer channel going to ceiling?”

Hello Steve! This sounds like this would be a perfect range hood for your needs! This range hood is compatible with 48 inch ranges and fits up to 9.9 ft ceilings. However, please ensure that you are installing your range hood 30-36 inches above your cooking surface. With your ceiling height, please measure the base height installation, prior to cutting the chimney, to ensure the chimney fits to the top of your ceiling.
