A:AnswerHi Benny,
Thank you for your question.
1.If you do not use a doorbell chime, you MUST use a 20 ohm/10 watt resistor between the smart doorbell and one wire from the power source. Please note that resistor not included in packaging.
2. When the visitor press the button, the doorbell WILL play a tone (Like the normal mechanical doorbell) for the visitor. And you will receive a notification via the app.
Hope this will help.
Best,
Zmodo Support
A:AnswerIt will work with existing wires but based on my experience you need to use a mechanical chime and not the digital ones.
The digital ones never stop ringing or doesn't ring at all.
A:AnswerThis device uses power from an existing wired doorbell previously installed. Existing wired doorbells uses 110v (U.S. power) which is supplying power to a transformer which reduces power to lower voltage which supplies lower volts to chimes and doorbell button at door(s). If no previous installed wired doorbell is available, purchase of a complete (transformer included) wired doorbell will need to be purchased and installed which at that point you would use the Zmodo in place of doorbell button.
A:AnswerYes, it will work with iPhone 6 Plus.
You can find Zmodo app in apple store.
Also, there is a QR code in the instruction and you can download the app by scanning the code.
A:AnswerDear Customer, you can connect the doorbell with your current mechanical doorbell. You will need to use Zmodo app so that the motion alerts will be pushed to your mobile phone.
