This records audio NOT video.

I've personally tried dmx tri-spots, sporting spotlights, high output LED tactical hand-held flashlights, and small battery operated clip-on lights mounted just under a featured performer, with limited success. Trying to avoid big powerful LED floods and spots, is almost not do-able. Raising the exposure and iso or changing the white balance usually limits clarity, focus, and motion. The larger the camera element (digital) and widest possible lensing, raises the amount of light that the camera will have available, making videos and stills in lower light better. That said, the smartphones seem to process low light levels better, with very limited audio capability, than anything except $1,000-plus cameras. A photographer really needs the performers cooperation to allow some auxiliary white lighting, or results will probably be a bit disappointing.
