• it does not have a connection for a phone. TWC told me they will only use their equipment for phone. Good news is, they do not charge for that - only the cable modem.

• Modern does have for Cat5 LAN connections with up to 10000mbs download speed. However my connection is limited at 20mbs. WiFi connects up to 17mbs.

• This does include 4 LAN lines out. (CAT 5) and a USB, but it does NOT have a phone jack.

• It has ethernet connectivity in which you can buy a third party lan line box for your telephone. Trust me it is cheaper than your cable option over time.

• Yes, this product has Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports as well as Wi-Fi N. The Internet phone could plug into the back of this device, yes, bit doesn't include a phone.
