A Solid Refresh To a Classic Shape
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. The shape is the regular viper shape, a rather low back hump, long and ambidextrous. I am personally not too fond of it but I'm sure that others will be. The coating is very average, not especially easy to grip but not slippery. I would describe the coating as a plastic akin to a PBT keycap. The paracord on the mouse leaves a lot to be desired in an era of wireless mice and flexible paracords when the mouse is wired. The paracord is rather stiff and has the shoelace type of feeling to it, usable but not leading in any meaningful way. Scroll wheel is nice, no problems there. Keep in mind that there is side buttons on both the left and right sides of the mouse so steer clear if that is something you want to avoid. Now as for the real reason most people will gravitate towards this mouse, its namesake 8KHz. Can you feel the 8KHz? Yes, you can feel smoother tracking but a lot of systems will not be able to handle that report rate and in turn you will suffer noticeably lower frames in games. The mouse is fun and cool to mess around with but not necessarily a technology which will give you a huge competitive advantage. If you are not already a fan of the Viper shape, look elsewhere and if you are you may enjoy this mouse as it is a pioneer among its peers. Will 8KHz become the future? We will see if wired mice are able to compete in a wireless mark and whether or not the wire justifies the extra poling rate.

8k rate is promising, but no noticeable results
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Mouse is good, just as all of the ‘Viper’ models. However, the 8k polling rate is not very noticeable and I am achieving the same performance in game with the wireless viper ultimate as with this one. I have a beefy computer and a 240hz monitor and constantly achieve above 240 frames, however there was really no difference from using this mouse on 8k polling rate and any other mouse I have used. Also, be warned, not all games support 8k polling rate and it will heavily impact the games performance if not changed to at least 2000hz.

Razer Viper 8KHz Review
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I could only give this a 4 out of 5 stars only because they need to make a wireless version of this 8kHz mouse, and I'm NOT talking about the Viper Pro. The secret sauce is the 8KHz. the tracking is insane i just wish it was wireless and a little taller and it would be my main mouse over the Logitech G Pro Superlight. Great build quality and the mouse buttons on the right side I use alot while playing even though i press then with my ring finger/pinky. All in all if you want the best wired mouse... this is it. best budget wireless mouse... Glorious Model O Wireless. Best mouse out there... Logitech G Pro Superlight.

Best FPS gaming mouse in the market!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. When it comes to FPS, this IS the mouse to get. It has been tested that 8k polling rate does improve latency if the rest of your system is up to par. I wish there was a lefty and righty version for even better fit.

8K polling feels great where its supported.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. Is the 8k polling rate noticeable? yes. But theres a catch currently and its entirely game dependent not the mouse itself. The catch is not a lot of games support it yet so you will get frame drops from moving your mouse and its not worth at all cause your game is gonna feel like a crap shoot. Overwatch supports it and i love how it feels compared to 1k or less polling rate. Even just browsing web pages and what not feels so much more precise when i have the 8k on. When more games support it youll def want a 8k polling rate mouse if youre a total sweat in the games you play. if youre strictly casual i doubt you care about these kinda changes anyway. Im a very sensitive person when it comes to my set up and im a sweaty greasy try hard in my comp game titles. 144hz to 240hz was noticeable, 1000Hz polling rate keyboard to a 4k Hz polling rate was noticeable, 1000hz to 8k Hz was you guessed it noticeable. if youre looking for a new mouse honestly think its a good idea to pick one of these up cause youre still able to simply turn down the polling rate to 1k like any other mouse and enjoy the games you currently do even if they dont support 8k polling rate. Switches feel really nice compared to the Viper Elite that by no means felt bad regardless if youre on 1k or 8k polling rate. only mentioning the polling rate here cause im sure someone probably had the idea it would feel insanely different, hasnt yet to me.

Bought on sale, I don't regret it
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Great mouse. Buttons and scroll wheel feel solid. There's a gimmick in its design where it's supposedly ambidextrous, but I don't know anyone who wants to use a mouse with their left hand. All that it means is that the mouse is symmetrical: the shape and thumb buttons are mirrored. Unfortunately the pairs of side buttons (left and right) are linked together and cannot be independently programmed. Razer Synapse is a very helpful tool for mouse button programming, DPI, and RGB lights. All in all, my purchase was worth it.

Highly responsive
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Very responsive mouse. Its so fast it was dropping frames of the gameplay, so I had to adjust the speed. It doesn’t have any extra buttons or unnecessary additions, a simple mouse on X-Games mode.

Q: QuestionWill I notice a difference between this and the viper mini? What will this be like in fortnite?

Q: QuestionIs it worth upradging from Viper Ultimate to this? I know its wired but I can add mouse bungee to my desk. I have a high end pc so my cpu can handle this but is it worth it by making my aim better in FPS games?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Do it! I as well mainly do fps games. 8k vs 1k polling is totally noticeable. If you are accurate with you hand motions all the more precise this mouse becomes as it is gathering info about where its position is 8x more often than your current mouse. For the price what are you waiting for..
