Bottom-Freezer Refrigerators

A bottom-drawer freezer refrigerator provides much more convenient access to the fridge compartment than a traditional top-freezer fridge does. Instead of bending down to grab the milk, you will find it easy to see and reach everything in a bottom-freezer fridge.

The freezer drawer design is versatile. Like a small version of a chest freezer, it can be organized into multiple levels for packaged frozen foods or devoted to a few large items, such as a Thanksgiving turkey. It can also fit wider items than the freezer compartment of a side-by-side refrigerator.

You can find both spacious wide bottom-freezer refrigerators and narrow bottom freezer fridges, perfect for compact kitchens. And, naturally, the French-door refrigerator is a popular design for a bottom-freezer refrigerator. If you want to preserve a sleek kitchen design with plenty of floor space, consider a counter-depth bottom-freezer refrigerator. Installing a new refrigerator is generally easy. When choosing the best bottom-freezer refrigerator, ensure you measure the kitchen space thoroughly and allow for room behind the appliance to plug it in. A bottom-freezer refrigerator with an ice maker will need to be hooked up to a water line, as will a bottom-freezer fridge with a water filter.
