fantastic 2.1 setup

This is easily the best sounding 2.1 setup ive ever had. sturdy well shielded cables that wont receive stray signal like my old x-240s. i was quite blown away with clarity of the speakers even with bass at a high really thumping and rattling stuff in my room. simply cant beat this for a 2.1 setup. if this series continues i will follow. THX Certified as well and you can tell when you turn it up.

Had these over a year, by far the nicest speaker system I've ever bought. roommate has a set of $300 bose speakers and we both agree these are nicer sound wise. The sub is too nice, hits every note with ease. Speakers are great, hit all the highs and lows that you would expect from a system far more expensive. Great for movies too, but if your watching a movie you need to turn up the bass to really experience it the way its supposed to be heard. Only complaint is that the sub is mad loud, neighbors don't exactly like it but throw an anti-vibration pad under the sub and problem solved. Love these z623's, great product from a great company.

The speaker system exceeded my expectations. It is perfect in every way. Logitech thought of everything with the speakers and subwoofer from the way they look to the way they sound which is amazing by the way! The speakers have a black matte finish which looks very nice and is far superior to ones that have a glossy finish. I dislike glossy finishes on speakers or stands because they show scratches and fingerprints! The speakers are angled upward to direct the sound towards your ears for a better listening experience. They even have rubber glides on the bottom so they stay in place on your desk and don't scratch it. One speaker has controls for on/off, volume level, and bass level. The knobs are large and easy to use. I really like having the bass volume control on the speaker. The subwoofer is also designed well and looks nice with a black laminate matte finish. Now to best part.....they sound amazing! The bass is super powerful and loud! The speaker system truly is top notch and well worth the money. I highly recommend them!

A well priced speaker

On BF sale, you'd get 40$ off. Even on regular price, you would be satisfied with the crisp sound with the bass coming from the woofer. If you want a rather compact speaker system with a woofer, it's good one to consider.
P.S. The ones on display at BB might not give you the actual sound quality as they're worn or not properly connected.

I purchased these speakers after comparing to the Creative T4 Wireless and the Bose QC5. These are basic but pouch out a great sound. Bass is loud and sound is very clear. You can plug a headset in the front unit.
The only CON I could say is that the speakers are a little bit large but not really a problem when on a desk.

Great sounding 2.1 computer speakers for only $99 dollars and they are THX certified. Really loud 200 watts RMS, use them with PS3 to watch blu-ray movies. Loud even at low volume, nice clean bass. Headphone connection.
Aux 3.5 mm connection.
RCA connection.

I will start by saying I've always been someone who believes STRONGLY in you get what you pay for. When these went on sale, I figured I would invest in upgrading my desktop gaming sound system.
Now that I own them, I would GLADLY pay full price. I'm a total bass-head (have had two 500W 12" subwoofers in my car since the month I bought it) and this system satisfies me for bass. The audio is clean and crisp, to a point. When the volume gets very high, it starts to get fuzzy, but it's VERY high. For $120-150, you will NOT get better sound.
Tunes are great, movies are full-sounding, bass knob makes it VERY easy to adjust for an over-bassy mastering of your favorite album. The only downside is that the peripheral speakers are kinda large, take up a lot of desk space and have no way to be mounted.
BUY IT.

There's a massive gap in products between the $40-$150 price range. There are many low-end speakers that can make noise, but often sound awful. Then there's the Sonos/Klipsch/Boston Acoustics/Bose speakers for hundreds and thousands of dollars. But to find quality speakers that don't cost a mortgage and a car payment; that's very difficult. These speakers fill that gap very well. While there isn't much competition in this range, these are excellent. I'm no audiophile, and I'm certain there's better, but not at this price point. Get these speakers and you will be happy!

My old Z323s still worked perfectly fine after nearly a decade of regular use, but while upgrading my PC setup I decided to retire them and get the Z623. I'm blown away by how good these sound. The satellite speakers are clear and crisp, the subwoofer is extremely powerful but not overbearing if you have everything dialed in right. No matter how high you crank them they don't distort or lose clarity. Even at lower volumes your music/games/movies will sound full and clear. Really, really happy with these speakers.
If you're comparing different models, know that the only difference between these and the Z625 is that the Z625 has an optical port. If you don't have a need for the optical port, save $30 and get the Z623.

Great Speakers, Great Price

I was all ready to spend up to five hundred dollars to buy Bose or Cambridge Works. I studied all the online reviews. A lot of people who seemed serious recommended the Logitech Z-2300 as being just as good. So I decided to buy that one since it is so much cheaper, but it seemed to be discontinued, and Amazon said that the Logitech Z623 is its “successor”. One of my requirements is the low end frequencies. I like pipe organ music, and the pipe organ plays down to the bottom of human hearing. An eight foot C is about 69 Hz, so the sixteen foot is 34 Hz and the 32 foot is 17 Hz. Logitech advertises that the Z263 goes down to 31 Hz, the Cambridge is similar, and Bose does not release the information. So I bought the Z623 on sale from Best Buy and hooked it up.
There is a lot of talk in reviews about different ranges of hearing, and others talk about personal taste, but I use the “closed eyes” test. I listen to classical music, not artificial music, and I close my eyes and ask myself if it sounds as though an instrument is in the room with me. Does it sound as though there is a piano there, or a string quartet, or a pipe organ in the room with me?
I started with Bach’s Passacaglia in C minor. It sounded to me as if I were in a recital hall with a pipe organ. I tried Sibelius Fifth Symphony, Rachmaninoff piano music, Brahms piano music, and various Mozart chamber music. I tried Mars by Holst, and piano concerti by Brahms and Rachmaninoff. I also tried vocal music by Palestrina and Josquin. When I close my eyes, I am unable to tell that I am listening to an IMac computer and speakers instead of live musicians. Some orchestral music sounds thin, but other recordings sound perfect, so I believe it is the recording that is at fault (or the compressed version on my computer) instead of the speakers. I haven’t done a blind test, but from what I perceive, I don’t think I could tell the difference between piano music on these speakers and the seven foot grand piano in my living room. Each time I listened to a piece, when I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see a desk, a computer, and some speakers.
