This handy little guy helps me dock my laptop so that I can use large monitors and a nice keyboard and mouse. Very important for me at my age! :-) The Geek Squad helped me choose the appropriate mini dock for my set up.

Needed it for a swift solution to get a project done while on the road. I only had a laptop, but I had access to a few monitors and just did the trick without any difficulty whatsoever. I carry it with me all the time now.

It’s nice to get two additional screens from my laptop. Downloading the drivers for Mac was easy and quick, the plug and play for windows was even better.

As of today 12/03/2020 our software drivers are not yet compatible with the newest MacOS Big Sur. A solution for this is currently being worked on and there will be a message on the j5create website when we have any updates. Your patience is appreciated.

It handles my presonus interface as well as my maschine Mikro mk3 flawlessly. Only con to it is it does get pretty hot while in use. Not sure if this will cause me a future problem or not but for what I need it for it has been doing the job.

I did NOT use my Microsoft USB Charging HUB which Microsoft sold as the only option for multimonitors 3 years ago when I purchased my first MSB. Turns out the Microsoft Hub constantly charges the battery and that caused by last MSB battery to swell and destroy the touch screen. It was a known problem, so I went with this J5 non-powered. It connected perfectly first time.

Pass through charging is important when connecting through a USB-C port. USB-C ports can transfer data, video, and power; sometimes all through the same port at the same time. Glad to hear that it is easy for you to use.
