Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say that the refrigerator we had prior to buying the Bosch was a French door Kitchen Aid, purchased in 2010. The Kitchen Aid had a spot in the ice cube tray in which to secure the ice-scoop. Considering it is 13 years later, one would think that Bosch and its suave designers would have thought of this very important detail... it says in the instruction booklet NOT to leave ice scoop in the ice tray for sanitary reasons...but it doesn't state WHERE to put it..because there isn't a designated area. But Bosch is known for making high end appliances..hmmmm

Single inside bin is extremely flimsy, too shallow. Inside water spigot too narrow for wide items like coffee maker. Definitely NOT fingerprint-resistant.; a visual mess in minutes. External drawer limited to 2 sections, not usual 3 or 4. FreshProtect irrelevant--who eats 2 wk old fruit? Only average reliability per Consumers Reports. Plusses: 3-shelf freezer and large ice bin.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited about the fact that it is a counterdepth fridge - so it should line up with counter depth. Wrong!!! This is 28 3/4" versus typical counter depth of 24". One of the modern custom cabinet trends is to have the cabinet line up with the front of the appliance versus the appliance sticking out. So I asked a question about what sized custom cabinet would I need for that and Bosch instead of trying to help, basically said to stick to the installation instructions (where the fridge sticks out). While I now understand that most counterdepth refrigerators are indeed not counterdepth, I would expect that for a fridge in this price range, the customer service from the company would be more aware of what the customers want and be trying to solve their issues. This is before sales service - imagine after sales service. Not impressed with Bosch.

Bosch Appliances SUCK

I have one - and it was Very Expensive too like this refrigerator and it ROUTINELY malfunctions. It will be a Total Hassle to get it "fixed" - should just be thrown out even though I've used it less than 30 times.
