Very good mouse for the price. I needed a replacement immediately as the mouse I was using started phantom clicking every time I used it. My only complaint is it's a bit narrow for my hands, but I got it on a $40 sale, so I'll stick with it

Bought another G502 after I wore out the first

Doing CAD work, I'm really hard on mice, typically burning one up every year or two. I was so happy with my G502 I had to buy another. I've got relatively small hands and the fit is perfect. The software is really nice with everything being programmable for my uses. Best part is the fully adjustable sensitivity so that I can control exactly how far my cursor moves across the screen for a given flick of the wrist. Great mouse with exceptional accuracy.

I had the previous model of this, which was basically the exact same thing with slightly redesigned button shapes, but the scroll wheel finally died after several years so I needed a quick replacement. This still has everything I need, and is the best gaming mouse I've ever used. The Logitech software is easy to use, and the mouse has 3 customizable profile settings, which can be switched with the middle button anytime you want. It has the basic L&R buttons, with a clickable & TILTING scroll wheel, which is really great since tilting wheels are becoming quite uncommon. Also, there is a button to allow freescrolling (spin the wheel and it keeps going, great for scrolling through long websites). There are 2 buttons just next to where your thumb rests, with a 3rd at the tip. Also, there are 2 more right next to the left mouse button, though they're easy to miss. The button to choose which profile you want can actually be remapped too. Also, the buttons aren't just a jumbled bunch like the many of the Razer mice, these are all perfectly located to easily reach. It's just a matter of remembering what you have mapped. Counting the scroll wheel as 3, the grand total of buttons that can be remapped is ELEVEN! The only problem I have with this model is that the wheel actually tilts too easily if you try to just click it. There's much more empty space next to it, and it's definitely a lot looser than the previous one, but it just takes time to get used to and isn't enough to lower my 5 star rating. There's also a wireless version of this, which costs an additional $100, so just go with what suits you best. I personally prefer corded ones myself because they're cheaper, and also so I don't have to worry about batteries, charging, or signal loss.

I am biased as I love the 502. I bought my first Logitech 502 from Best Buy actually around the end of 2011 I think. I got a $50 gift card to steam at the time with the purchase (mouse retailed close to $100 at the time) which I told myself I would use to buy GTA:V when it finally released on PC (which wasn't until 2013 lol). Either way, I managed to use that 502 for a solid decade+ and honestly could have kept going with that mouse but it was starting to show it's age. Scooping a 502 Hero was a no-brainer replacement, especially when on sale. Couldn't be happier with the ergonomics of this mouse and button feel. In the same vein, you get a wide variety of mouse buttons and the ability to map and assign them to your heart's content as well as adjust the mouse's DPI on the fly. It's a great mouse that continues to review well and win people over after all these years.

The box says 16,000 DPI but via a free online update it is bumped to 25,600. This unusably high sensitivity is not necessary but it's cool to say you have. Why would you buy anything else? This mouse is affordable, reliable, and good looking. The super high 25,600 dpi is crazy at this price point.

I used to run a Steelseries Rival 500, and since it's been discontinued Ive been looking for a replacement. For the price, this cannot be beat, it's smooth, has a good amount of buttons without being cramped, and has decent software to go with it.

    G502 Proteus to HERO

Needed a replacement for my old G502 Proteus Core after several years of consistent use. The G502 HERO was an obvious choice to pick up. My only concern about it is that the HERO has a regular plastic wire cord, unlike the Proteus Core's braided cloth cable. Still, that's just a minor thing and the G502 feels just as solid and responsive as ever.

A amazing mouse for the try hard gamers. When they say it was 11 customizable buttons, they also mean that the scroll wheel, left and right click and also be customized. Basically every button can be customized. Also the wire isn’t a issue, it hasn’t bothered me once. The software is easy to work with I’m saying from experience and from upgrading from a g602 to this awesome mouse Totally worth it

Great Features and Feel, Questionable Durability

This mouse has great feel and accuracy, which is perfect for FPS gaming, RPG's, MMORPG's, or any genre of gaming. The HERO has adjustable DPI settings all the way up to 18,000, but I never found the need to use that high of a setting. I loved the on-the-fly profile buttons so I could change the sensitivity to suit the in-game situation. For web browsing, I loved the un-lockable scroll wheel so you can free wheel through pages of text like a champ. The weight of the mouse is adjustable as well, but I didn't use the weights as I like a lightweight mouse. One downside I experienced was the overall grip was a little slick. I use a modified claw grip, and there is no lip on the right side of the mouse for your pinky finger to grasp. Therefore, I had to grip the mouse a little tighter than I normally do. It took several days to get used to, but once I did, I loved the mouse. Now, for the last and biggest downside; durability. After 2 years of use, the left mouse button started to fail. If I clicked and held, the mouse would sporadically click repeatedly on its own. This makes playing games and day to day activities nigh impossible to enjoy, and I have since switched to a Corsiar Nightsword. Review to come later!

I didn't get the Logitech G502 HERO Wired Optical Gaming Mouse to use for gaming, I got it because the mouse I currently using was horrible. I am very happy with my new mouse, as it is very comfortable, lightweight, & fast. I would definitely recommend it.
