Without having an outlet easily within reach and unused, and not being able to use an extension cord in a nursing facility, this afforded the ability to still charge a tablet without disconnecting other items. Used an existing one I had and it only charged my phone. Looked into it and found that some cords do just a charge while others transfer data (I.e. you can do google maps with Apple car play in the car). This cord is perfect to make everything work as you expect it to

The reason being is that it is well made. The cable itself is sturdy, thick and convenient due to it being 10ft long. It connects to my I-Phone flawlessly. I highly recommend this cable, giving it 5 stars.
