It was a bad compressor which I was told and the fridge needed to be replaced. My previous refrigerator lasted 25 years and this one only lasted just about two years. A high expectation of a reliable appliance made by Samsung went out the window unfortunately.

There are 2 things I have found wrong with it, and one was part of the reason we had bought it in the first place... the ice. This fridge says it makes "ice bites." The entirety of the internet seem to compare these to Sonic's soft chewy ice bits, but they are similar in size only. In reality Samsung's Ice Bites are just small ice cubes, and are in no way soft or chewy or melty. The other issue I have found is that the shelf behind the auto-fill water pitcher has about an inch and a half of space, which is useless. Why wouldn't they just make the pitcher and inch and a half larger to fill that space. It's a pretty small pitcher, so it could use the extras volume, and it would eliminate the useless shelf space.
