Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

Bought these for a friend, but I own a pair of tan ones myself. But these are absolutely amazing headphones compared to traditional wireless headphones! I’ll be honest & say I will forget I have them on, since they’re so comfortable, I’m literally able to wear them all day. The battery can last me all day if I use it at a reasonable volume, but super nice, clear sound & with reasonable bass! Would recommend to a friend, for sure!! 10/10 :) (especially if you can get these on sale!!)

    Great Headphones For Situational Awareness

This is my second pair -- I stupidly broke the first pair I bought by sticking them in my pocket without the case, and it snapped where the earpieces connect to the band, so they just kind of flop uselessly around. I immediately bought this pair to replace them because these are so useful for what I need -- I've got a 2 year old and have basically used these headphones for most of her life, so that I can have my Nanit app on my phone and still hear it (or the monitor itself) while listening to podcasts (music is harder b/c it tends to drown the monitor out) while still being aware of the world at large. I've also loved these for working outside (can still hear neighbors or the delivery person if they start talking to you), going on dog walks (can still hear cars), and even driving. I've got a pair of AirPod Pros that I also really love, but they serve a different purpose -- those are for canceling the noise outside, these are for allowing it to coexist with what I'm listening to. I still use them both depending on what I'm doing -- if I went for a run outside, I'd use the Shokz without a doubt. At the gym or on a bus, AirPods. It also works well for hands-free for phone calls, although sometimes it picks up extra noise compared to other headseats I've had. They're also more comfortable than most ear buds I've used (although they can wear on the top of your ears, similar to glasses, and they don't work the best if you're wearing glasses/sunglasses). This version also has a big improvement over the first gen OpenRun headphones -- those would make an annoying BEEP if you got out of range of your device, and you couldn't stop it without turning the headphones off. Every time I went out to the garage for something and forgot my phone, BEEP... BEEP... BEEP. The new ones beep once and that's it. Sound quality is fine, battery life has been great. Just don't stick them in your pants pockets!

Comfier than the previous version, better battery life, decent sound. Can't say I hear much difference between pro and standard, but I do between the new vs old style. Only mild issue is the proprietary charger. Why didn't you just go with USB-C like 96% of my other devices? Not enough to drop a star, but enough to complain about. I work a 12 hour shift and listen to music 10 of those hours and leave with medium battery. I haven't had it tell me my battery was low yet, so not sure when it will actually die.

I love my Shokz. This is the third pair I owned. I broke or lost the previous two because they were with me in conditions the other headsets wouldn't survive. Lets go to the specifics. I am not selling or benefiting from the review, just share my experience hoping it will help people like me. I have very irregular ears which makes use of the in-ear headsets difficult. The SHokz are incredibly smart and ergonomic. 1. You can start use them out of the box, though I would recommend to charge and researcher the basic controls before using. 2. I use the titanium version. It is very light , though you can step on it and it might survive, may not, so I wouldnt recommend the experiment. 3. The headset is so light so you quickly forget it is there. 4. The sound clear and you can hear individual instruments, but the outside sound is not blocked in any way. So you can hear the ocean if you walk on a beach and talk on the phone at the same time. 5. Charging - nothing to mention, it works and convenient to plug in. 6. Hard to talk when wind is blowing, but to be fair, any headset hard to hear on the wind. In short - get it, try it, return if it is not for you. I love them. Thank you

Where I work we cannot wear ear buds, head phones or anything that might compromise our safety by hindering or preventing our ability to hear warning beapers, alarms and such like. However bone conducting head sets are permissible because they do not interfere with the ability to hear warning signals, alarms or radio comunication. I love it that I can wear these all day and listen to music while working. The battery- life is all that and a bag of chips. Phone calls are clear. comfortably all day. I am impressed all the way arround. I wear them all day long and charge at night. I couldn't be more pleased and satisfied.

I love this headphones so much. They are great for running. We’re just working out around the house they don’t fall off easily like other headphones I’ve worn they’re super light can still hear things around you which makes them safe. The sound is unbelievably good. I recommend them to all of my friends. The only downside and that’s a really need to picky thing is that they get caught up in my hair, so I always wear them with my hair.

Pros: light like few grams, I can use them almost non stop. Perfect sound quality. Good bass. Much better than in ear or over the ear headphones. Good for phone calls. Great for running outside not inside the gyn due to open design. Cons: because it's using magnetic conduction design, I didn't know about side effect of technology. I used this headphones like at least 2-3 hours per day, sometimes 5-6hrs. So, now I have a static noise in ears, worst gets when I go to sleep, it gets hard to go to sleep. Conclusion: I think they are awesome, but you have to limit your daily use like up to an hour. I also only 32 years old healthy man.

They are great for commuting or participating in activities where you want music but need to be able to hear, or if you don't like have your ear covered. They also work great with Meta Quest, Otherwise if you are looking for crystal clear studio sound these are not right for you. Certain types of music such as older music, or music that was not recorded in stereo do suffer and there are instances in high noise area they and can sound a little low and high bass music can cause some vibration. But even with the faults they are super comfortable to the point I forget they are on and well worth it. I am buying my GF a pair and I would totally buy them again if I need to replace them.

Overall, this is the most comfortable headset. The Bluetooth range connects very well throughout my entire house with little to no interference. No static. Battery life is good. No pain in ears or jawbone. Sound is as expected for bone conduction headphones. I honestly can not hear my family talk to me unless I have the volume extremely low. There is an app that is downloadable that allows to set the headsets to toggle between voice or music. I do love that I do not have to bother with ear buds falling out or over the ear headphones.

I love the Shokz. There are a couple of drawbacks, but overall they are great headphones. I use them for voice calls daily at work. Pros: - Great Sound for calls, podcasts, audiobooks - Microphone picks up voice for calls very well. I never have an issue with someone understanding me. - Stays put when active - Ability to listen to calls/etc. while hearing all ambient noise. - Battery life is phenomenal. Granted, I mostly use them for calls. However, the battery lasts about a week before it reports a low battery. Cons: - Sound for music is good, but don't expect deep bass - The band behind the head can be awkward. I recommend you try these on compared to the minis to see what fits you best.

I spent 15 years in the audio industry, and many more as an enthusiast, so I'm not easy to please. But, I wanted to be able to listen to music while cycling so I took a chance on these. My bike rides run 3-6 hours long, so it is nice to have the option of entertainment when I ride alone. Much of my ride is on public streets, so I need to be able to hear my surroundings. I was willing to listen to mediocre sound in order to be safe. The OpenRun Pros paired easily with my iPhone 12, so that was a positive. Then, I put them on and streamed Tidal. I burst into a big smile. The sound was impressive! It is not an audiophile experience, but it is every bit as good as when I used to run with a Walkman and Sony earbuds. There is adequate bass, a balanced sound, and they even present a wide soundstage. At the same time, I could hear traffic, riders approaching from behind, barking dogs, and the sound of my bike as gears shifted or the freehub spun. The Shokz were very comfortable, and did not interfere with my helmet. My ratings are based on the type of product and its intended use. Using that approach, I rated it 5* for sound quality. Compared to my home system, they would probably get 3*, but my home system cannot be taken on a bike ride, and scores very low on portability or battery life. The Shokz OpenRun Pro Premiums are an excellent accessory for running or cycling.

I could wear these all day! Comfort, sound, and connection— no notes. It’s a nice option when you want to still be able to hear everything around you but also be zoned in on what you’re listening to. I use them for working out and they never move.

First I like to say I have used these headphones almost every day since I bought them. Many days for 10+ hours as I travel, walk, and ride my bike a lot. They are also the only way I talk on my phone. The sound quality for music is good enough to be enjoyable while not missing boarding calls and vehicles or people approaching from any direction, but classical music sounds best. Call sound is better than my phone on it's own on both ends of the conversation. But do not expect studio sound. That is not what they are for. The battery life is fantastic. I often get 12 hours straight play time in one sitting. I've used them on many 20+ hour trips. The charge time is fantastic and I often recharge in the middle of a trip in less time than I have to nap between destinations. A portable power bank can keep you going for days without seeing a power outlet. Though I am careful with them, traveling can be frantic and they take some abuse. I have had no technical or physical damage issues in the first 1.5 years of owning them. They connect with Bluetooth sources quickly and with no issues that I have experienced. And the range has let me out the door and down the street without my phone several times. These have become my every day headphones from music, to calls, to playing video games, over the several different types of in ear and over ear headphones that I wear. If you use headphones daily, are active in life, or even just home/business life where you need to hear your surroundings (like babysitting your granddaughter), these are the best I've used. The last notes I'd make on them is the lack of extra wind noise when riding my bike, and the fact that they don't increase the sound of tinitus from being incerted or covering your ears, if you should have that problem like I do.

A friend has raved about these for a while now! I had been an avid earbud user I just have this thing about running and not hearing my breathing. I’m astonished at how amazing the Shokz OpenRun are! The sound quality at first was jarring because my ears have only been accustomed to earbuds or headphones. I’m not a marathon runner but I do love the outdoors. I’ve had my Shokz for about a week’s worth of runs and I have zero complaints. They are loud in a great way and the bass is great (I used my Avicci playlist to test all sorts of audio tones from voice and acoustics). The ProRuns come with the carrying case, charging cable (super cool magnetic technology), and of course the Shokz. My two only disadvantages are that they can’t replace headphones in the gym and the headband isn’t moldable to your head so at first it takes some getting used to. My friend wants me to run a half marathon and these Shokz are going to be the best part of my run, I can tell! Well that and a really great pair of shoes!
