Great all around headphones

The choice for audiophiles

It came down to Momentum 4, Sony XM5 and AirPod Max. Sony had great ANC and had a really cool look. In the end the Momentum was the best sounding across musical styles.

Great sound and battery, horrid connectivity

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Audio quality is superb and the battery life is generally impressive, but the connection issues are so frequent and annoying that I cannot recommend these to anyone without the huge caveat that they'll likely need to run them wired. I have an external Bluetooth adapter in order to get better signal and that's the only reason these are even able to transmit sound at all, without it they were a choppy mess. Sticking to wired from here on out.

I expected better

While using the AUX cord, the audio is amazing. I was testing these with Tidal, and with the enhanced quality, it was amazing. I could hear the difference in the distortion bass and distortion guitar, the fingers moving on the frets(personal pref), and the slight inhale on vocals. HOWEVER, when I switched to bluetooth mode, it suddenly felt off. I could still hear the details, but the audio was centered just to the right of center. My guess is that since that's where the battery was, it was just a half a watt off on the left cup. Most people won't even notice it to be honest. But I'm an audiophile, and it really threw my listening off. By comparison, my Bose 700s don't do this at all, but I also game, and I need to know if the enemies are in front of me, or to the left, and these don't seem like they would work for that. For the price, I expected them to be on par with 700s. I did return them the same day.

Compared to the Beats Studio Pros, these eclipse them. 3 times the bass at minimum. Crips and clear sound. The battery lasts a very long time (several days). The features of automatically pausing and turning off when you take them off is great and I love it!
