Great multipurpose kitchen appliance, powerful!

It’s great when an appliance can do more than 1 job, thereby saving space. But as I recently learned with a new stove that has a built-in air fryer in the oven, sometimes it doesn’t live up to the hype. With the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo, having the versatility of both a blender and a food processor in one unit is a huge plus. Included are 2 containers: a 72 oz pitcher and a 64 oz bowl for the food processor, 2 chopping blades, a dough blade, and a shredding disc. Also included is a 24oz to go cup with it’s own blade, so you can make drinks on the go!
The blender has BlendSense technology, it’s like AI for a blender, it can automatically detect and adjust speed and blending time. A big reason I got this blender is for my teenage son, he LOVES smoothies! He makes one pretty much every day and has gotten very proficient at making them. He uses frozen fruits, usually mangos and strawberries and fresh banana.
I thought it would be interesting to see how the Ninja stacks up against the pro style blender we currently have, a 12 year old Vitamix. Over the course of the week, we made 3 smoothies with various frozen fruits, unfortunately, the results were not that great. The ingredients tend to stuck to the side of the blender jar. We had to take the jar off, shake it up, push it down with a spatula or thinning out a bit with more water (the “add water” light did not come on”). After 3 presses of the Blendsense button and more shaking, it blended smoothly. I love the light show you get with the dial while the blender is working, irreverent? Yes, but its’s still cool!
Next test, we used the food processor and the dough hook to make pizza dough. It worked fine, mixed all the ingredients in “dough” mode. A feature we liked when making dough is the lid with the rubber gasket, you don’t get flower dusting all over when mixing. The suction cups held the processer in place when the dough was being mixed. The worse part of this was the cleanup, sticky dough to wash out of the dough blade and processor bowl vs a stand mixer and dough hook we would normally use. Using the food processor with the shredding disc was great, it made chopping up vegetables was a breeze. The dual sided disc is a neat feature, so smart!
Overall, the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It would’ve been nice if the recipe book had more recipes to try, although scones are mentioned, no recipes were included. It might have a minor quirk with some ingredients sticking to the side in the blender, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience and performance it offers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and multifunctional kitchen appliance.

I’m really impressed with the Ninja Detect Kitchen System. It’s super easy to use and delivers powerful performance as both a blender and food processor. The BlendSense technology is a fantastic feature—it automatically adjusts blending speed and time, which makes everything so convenient. For the price, it’s an excellent value. The only downsides are that it can get a bit loud while blending, and the sharp blades require careful handling. Overall, it’s a great addition to any kitchen!

The Ninja Detect Kitchen System is everything that I need for my kitchen! This system has BlendSense technology. It will sense your what you put into the Power Blender or Power Food Processor bowl (fresh or frozen) automatically.
This Kitchen set comes with a Power Blender, Power Food Processor bowl, and a single serve cup that includes a spout lid. Each device has it's own accessories. The blender has the pitcher lid, and Ninja Detect Crushing and Chopping blade. The Power Food Processor bowl has the chopping blade assemble, dough blade, disc spindle, feed chute/pusher, and reversible slicing shredding disc. The single serve cup will definitely be the most used out of the three for my morning healthy smoothies.
You will also receive the user manual with several recipes.
This Kitchen System shipped in a large box. Be careful unboxing the blades as they are very sharp. I received a tiny cut placing the blades into the dishwasher.
The blender crushed ice in seconds. The food processor worked great chopping onions and celery. My morning smoothie which includes chia seeds was very well mixed. Highly recommend this Kitchen System.

Power. Control. The sense blend, get out of here!!
This thing starts up like a jet engine and doesn’t quit. I am blown away by the creaminess by which this creates from my protein shakes if you’re like me and you mix water with protein and choke it down every morning you’ll be truly amazed what can happen when you throw just a tiny bit of ice in and allow this beautiful beast to do it magic.
And my wife, she is amazed by how smooth it blends the margaritas!!

Great Set, Could be Stronger

Picked this up from my wife, who's going dairy-free and thought it would help help her prepare her cashew milk and alternatives to cheese. Here's her thoughts.
Some of the main things she really likes about this system is this is a fully equipped set, between all the accessories and both the blender and food processor - you really don’t need any other tools. This essentially is a one-stop setup for what she needs.
She also likes that the blender pitcher is big and holds 64oz of liquid. Our current blender is much smaller and so you can do bigger batches in this Ninja blender. She did not use the dough attachment yet, but excited to see that come with the set. She's looking forward to making cookies and doughs much easier. Those are one of the items that I've convinced her to leave dairy in for now.
The Blendsense function of the blender is a nice set-it-and-forget-it function. She likes the ease of using the blender. The dial and screen are nice, easy to use, and you can clearly see where it's at in the blending process.
It wasn't all sunshine, my wife did run into a few hurdles switching to this from our current blender. First, it’s a lot of extra peices so you will need the space to store it. Not a con on her part because we have space in the kitchen, but something to be aware, since you're buying a whole blending system.
She also found the Ninja blender not as powerful as the more industrial-strength blender we currently have. Our current blender makes her cashew milk quickly and easily, but when she tried to make it in the Ninja she couldn’t get it to run fast enough or strong enough to really blend the cashews and dates. She was left with a lot of pieces at the bottom. She tried running blend sense 3 times and then she ended up manually running it at the highest setting for an additional 2 minutes. So that’s her only issue - she's going to be making smoothies next week so we will see how it does then.
As for cleaning, most of the pieces are dishwasher safe in the top rack, but honestly, it's easier for me to just hand wash them and let them dry in the drying rack.

OMG is it loud! Probably the best blender I have ever had. The power is amazing, I love the way my shakes come out, I haven't used the food processor attachment yet, but the blender (both sizes) is great! I was not sure about buying a "Ninja" product, but I am sold on the brand now.

This Ninja appliance package includes a 72 ounce pitcher with a pour spout, a 64 ounce food processor bowl, a 24 ounce single serve cup and 5 blades - including a fixed one in the single serve cup and a slicing/shredding disc. They were packed very well and arrived without any damage to the box or contents.
The control panel is used to select Manual, Mode (when chopping, slicing or shredding), Pulse or Blendsense. Blendsense “senses your ingredients and blends to perfection” by automatically adjusting the time, speed and power. I don’t know what makes Blendsense do what it does, but I think it needs some refinement. Once the blades start moving, there is a delay while it “senses” the ingredients and decides what to do with them. That 5 - 6 seconds delay is sometimes all the mixing that is needed. When mixing liquids the usual pattern was to sense and then mix for an additional 35+ seconds. That was often much longer than was needed.
Unlike a similar brand that has a fixed blade in the bottom, the Ninja pitcher has a removable tiered blade that extends from the bottom to the top. I didn’t do a side by side test, but the Ninja blade design might make it a better choice for mixing a full pitcher. I do like the Ninja lids. They are easy to get off and on.
All parts except the motor can be cleaned in the dishwasher on a no-heat dry cycle. They did clean up quite well in the dishwasher, but had a lot of water dripping out of the recessed parts at the end, and the food processor handle filled up with water.
When making cookies in the Ninja food processor, I didn’t like the removable blade as much as I thought I might. I had a hard time telling if the consistency of the dough was right because I couldn’t get in around the blade with a spoon to feel it. At the end, the blade was stuck in the dough and it was hard to pull out. It turned out that more flour was needed, but once the blade was out there was no going back. Enough dough to make 2 cookies was stuck to the blades and I had to tediously scrape it off. The pitcher and cup work well for liquids and the food processor does a good job of slicing and shredding, but I think cookies and dough are better made in a mixer. Using the Ninja food processor, I ended up with some very odd cookies that were more like little cakes.
I tried the raspberry drink recipe in the instruction booklet. It uses lemonade, honey, ice and raspberries. The results were OK, except that the honey went to the bottom, which became the top when inverted. Although I was careful to use the exact measurements for the ingredients, the mixture never reached the top while mixing and the honey stayed there and didn’t mix into the drink.
I would prefer a smaller Ninja. The pitcher and base are large. The assembled pitcher is almost 18 inches tall which is too big to sit on my counter. The cup makes twice what I can drink - especially if it’s something frozen that doesn’t keep. The blades don’t seem to be very sharp and the base is plastic. But for the price, it will work OK as long as adjustments are made to the Blendsense mix times.

I've been using the Ninja Kitchen System Power Blender + Food Processor Pro for a few weeks now, and I’m absolutely impressed with its performance! This versatile kitchen gadget does it all—blending, processing, and even coming with a handy 24-oz. To-Go Cup, making it perfect for smoothies on the go.
The BlendSense Technology is a standout feature. It automatically adjusts the power based on what you're blending, ensuring the perfect texture every time. Whether I'm making smoothies, nut butter, or even chopping vegetables, the consistency is always spot on.
The 1200-watt motor is incredibly powerful and handles everything with ease, from frozen fruits to hard vegetables. Cleanup is also a breeze, as the parts are dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus.
Overall, this blender and food processor combo has exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful kitchen tool!

Ninja Detect Kitchen System is a mouthful to say, but it’s delicious device for its price. It’s worthy of 5 stars for its value and tech…at its product range. I think you’ll appreciate it too if you are looking to consolidate your blender and food processor with a single “do it all” device and have no illusions that it’s not intended to on par with higher tier “gourmet-level” products, though it could probably go toe-to-toe with many on features and abilities, though not longevity. Here are some of my impressions and thoughts after using it for a few days.
CLEANING AND BUILD QUALITY
I’ll assume you are already familiar with what’s included as it’s well documented on the item page. But if not, I posted a picture above from the box listing these items. There’s a lot to unpack inside the box, and whenever I get a new appliance all the washable parts get cleaned ASAP. The user’s manual says everything except the main base is dishwasher safe if placed in the “top rack,” and high heat dry is off. I assumed top rack here is equivalent to the middle rack for 3-rack dishwashers, where the top rack is for utensils. So, I popped them all in the middle rack, except for the pitcher which was too tall. It only fit in the bottom rack, so I took my chances.
When the wash completed I noticed water trapped in the food processor bowl’s gear enclosure. It did eventually air dry, but I’ll be hand washing this part from now on. The other parts fared fine, even the pitcher, which was on the bottom rack, against Ninja’s advice. To be clear, I used a basic wash cycle, steam and heated dry off.
It would seem part of the reason high heat dry is ill-advised is because all the accessories are plastic, and not the nice kind either. In fact, build quality is mediocre all around, not really unexpected for a device that does this much for such a reasonable price. Again, it’s not intended to compete with high tier products, so if that is what you are looking for, your time is better spent researching those products.
While the design is sleek and, well, cool, once you touch it you realize it’s not made to last. This is not a dig, just reality. The dial and buttons feel flimsy and delicate. At its price it would be unreasonable to expect premium materials and fit and finish, so I can’t knock the Ninja Detect for this aspect of it. That said, I do expect to get a few years’ service out of the Ninja. Once thing that I do hate though are the suction cup feet on the bottom of the base that make it annoying to move around. I’d rather have standard rubber feet.
PERFORMANCE
With that out of the way, on to performance. Here the Ninja Detect gets an A+. Ninja may have cut costs on build quality, but it didn’t scrimp on its guts. In fact, the Detect has a whopping 1800 watts motor that has handled whatever I’ve thrown at it so far. I can’t go through everything I’ve tried so far, but I do want to cover use of the single serve cup and food processor bowl since these are the two I use most.
To me what makes the Ninja Detect such a standout is that it conforms to the user’s needs. If you are a beginning chef or just hate to cook it can do almost everything for you automatically – no need to guess about time, force, etc. Just prepare your ingredients and press “start.” If you are making a smoothie it will even let you know when to add water. But if you like to customize there is also a manual mode. Personally, I’m in the lazy, hate to cook category.
My cooking style is less formal recipe and more “this and that” experimentation. I’ve never had a smoothie/slushie maker before, so I went through a lot of trial and error finding a tasty formula, but the single serve cup was always up to the task. Example, for my very first slushie I cut up a banana, then poured in the last remains of cut pineapple and juice in my fridge, followed by half a can of sparkling watermelon water, then a big scoop of ice. I posted a picture above. Next I powered on the Ninja Detect, pressed the “Blendsense” button and I was off to the races. The machine did all the calculations to prevent a too chunky or watery drink. The Ninja’s eye-catching LED display let me know what was happening at each stage. About a minute later I had my first slushie. Pretty amazing. I posted a picture of this too so you can see “before” and “after.” Taste-wise I needed to adjust my recipe on that one for sure. It needed more fruit and juice, less water. But the texture was excellent and very “Slurpee,” like. A lid is included for the cup if you don’t have time to put your drink into a different one, but I’d advise against using it except at home because you lose or break the Ninja cup, well….
Later I wanted to make a salad for dinner, so I popped on the food processor bowl. This bowl is multi-talented with the various included blades. It can slice, chop, shred, mix dough right out of the box. For my salad I wanted everything sliced so installed that wheel. (The reverse side of this blade, by the way, is for chopping and shredding.) I cut up some carrots, mini cucumbers, and a mini-pepper and put them in the chute. A picture of this is attached above. I noticed the chute didn’t hold a lot, so I compared it to the one for my other food processor and sure enough the chute on the Ninja was about an inch shorter. Not a huge deal, but it is a little less convenient.
From there I just powered up the Ninja and pressed “mode,” since I was using the food processor bowl, and then “disc,” since I was using the slicing disc. Here the timing is not automatic, and you may need to turn off the Ninja manually. I had to for this job as it wanted to spin for another 30 seconds after the last nibble left the chute. The results were fantastic. You can see them in the picture I posted above. For a single serving the cleanup isn’t worth the effort again, but for a family or party it will be a huge time saver for sure. The chopping was smooth and fast, no stalling or jamming.
CONCLUSION
I haven’t used the pitcher yet, because I only need single serve right now, but I assume its performance is identical to the single serve cup. Overall, the Ninja Detect is an excellent, multi-use kitchen device that, based on my use, is perfect for everyone except the most passionate chefs that enjoy more expensive products. Normally lackluster build quality is a major turn off for me but the Ninja Detect is priced right, fun to use and does so much, that this one low point is easy for me to overlook.

This blender is a powerhouse—versatile, efficient, and easy to use. It has replaced the need for multiple appliances in our kitchen while still being simple to clean and maintain. The performance has exceeded our expectations and it’s quickly become an essential part of our daily routine. The only drawback is the noise level, but considering the strength and usability it delivers, that’s a small trade-off.

It is a good product. Plenty of power, good diversity, and easy to use accessories. The size takes some getting used to, but is not a detergent to it's functioning.
