It fits better than the giant bulky sony ones and are more compact. Fantastic sound that lives up to its name. Unfortunately it has a weak microphone compared to sony. I tried adjusting and troubleshooting all sorts of ways but the internet confirmed, it's just the way it is. I'm actually getting it from Bose direct instead because Best Buy wouldn't price match it.

Best headphones I’ve ever owned. Bass is wild for a headset! Also the way the voices move around to sound like they are above you was freaky. 100% dedicated to this brand for any future headphones.

Great Sound Quality, Ear Cushions Will Fail

While the sound quality and noise cancelation is great, the ear cushions will fail within a year. They separate on a seam. It has happened twice now with these headphones. First time, Bestbuy replaced the headphones, Second time, I contacted Bose directly and they are supposed to be sending me new ear cushions but they are on backorder, go figure. I have been a long time customer of several Bose products, never disappointed until now. For a premium product priced like a premium product, this is a fail.

Hey Debbie, thanks for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear that the sound quality and noise cancellation meet your expectations. Over time, cushions can naturally wear down due to factors like humidity and regular use, but the good news is, they’re easily replaceable. Swapping them out can significantly extend the overall lifespan of your headphones.

My honest opinion is that I think these are overrated and overpriced. The most annoying thing to me is that it has to be powered on if you plan to use the 3.5mm wired connection. So if the battery dies on this thing which it likely will because the battery life ain’t wonderful then you can’t even use the standard wired connection because you’ll hear nothing through the headphones, ugh. I have a portable retro game that has headphone jack and I can’t use my Bose headphones if the battery dies, that really sucks. As for sound quality, it’s alright. Comfort is also good, not great. Although it can be connected to multiple devices via Bluetooth, it doesn’t switch seamlessly from one device to another like Apple AirPods or the Sony Mark 4. Another annoyance is that there is a delay when you power on the headphones which sometimes has me wondering if I pressed the right button. One area that I think it really shines is with the ANC. You can really block out your environment with these headphones and that’s the only really great thing about it. I had Sony Mark 4 before but the hinges were no good and broke with mild usage within 1-1/2 to 2 years. I should have enrolled in or taken an extended warranty on the Sony headphones . I love the Sony headphones plus the app too which was loaded with useful features and very intuitive. These Bose headphones have me missing my Sony Mark 4. I really hope Sony fixes the problem with those flimsy hinges. Anyhow, I don’t like wasting money so I’ll be sticking with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra until they go bad. Hopefully by then Sony will get its act together with those horrible cheaply made hinges.

Hi - I'm sorry to hear you're not completely happy with the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, although you do like their noise-cancelling performance.
It's true that these headphones require power for use with either Bluetooth or the backup cable. The good news is that a quick 15-minute charge will power the headphones for up to 2.5 hours with Immersive Audio off, or up to 2 hours with it on.
As for switching between devices, the headphones allow you to connect to two devices at once. You can then switch between your two preferred devices easily by pausing audio on the first one, and pressing Play on the second.

Bose were my first headphones and my second so I generally try Bose before anything else. I tried the ultra & less than 1 week of daily use my ears were sweating profusely so I just wiped them off and continued but at then end of the day my ear and the skin totally surrounding it was bright red and itched worse than a 5yr old with chicken pox on his arm while wearing a cast for a broken arm(personal experience) it was a nightmare! I rubbed my ears and skin so hard and vigorously they started bleeding and swelling. I love Bose’s reliability and their new immersion sound but nothing is worth the pain they caused me. So if you do NOT have skin sensitivity I’d go for it in a second but if you do please go with a different pair your ears will thank you I ended up going for the new Sonos Ace headphones they do not and have not disappointed me yet. So go ahead and make your choice in my own personal opinion they rank as follows and this should not be construed as definitive or authoritative just my own personal opinions 1) Bose Ultra Over ear Headphones (if you aren’t sensitive like me 2) Sonos Ace Headphones only problem is app is sometimes a pain in the butt 3) Apple Max headphones the biggest waste of money for the fewest features imaginable all at a price that when it was announced in the strategy meeting everyone looked at the guy talking with look that said are you out of your mind no truly smart person will go for that.
