Make sure you place woofer and rear speakers at suggested position to get better feel and experience of surrounding sound. I encourage to play any surrounding sound test song and experience the effect of the sound system.

I have set things up for my study room and it works perfect. I like Samsung, for Soundbar (got 3 of them), TV (two of them and looking for a thrid one), etc. only buy Samsung for these lines of products.

Before there were some stations had to adjust sound to 90 on new Samsung TV. Now in low 20’s and getting great surround sound.

I then found out about q Symphony....OMG hook this to my samsung tv and it feels and sounds like a helicopter is landing on my house.

Sounds very Good with the highs and bass is impressive as well! This is an awesome addition for the bedroom setup.

Even with their volume adjusted in the settings to be at their highest, you have to put your ear up to the speakers to even be able to they’re on.

Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q850D Soundbar.
To improve your audio experience, the HW-Q800D features a wide range of sound modes and settings allowing you to fine tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, and Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
By pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.
If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.

I’m hearing things in movies I never heard before. Replaced my Bose Acoustimass speakers with this system and am not regretting it one bit. The Samsung soundbar is better on every level. The sound from games, movies and music is exceptional. Very happy with my purchase.

Sound bar has pretty good bass, but the subwoofer really brings in full sound. Rear channels really compliment the system. Wireless rear channels are very convenient.

The sound from this set up is unbelievable! I love movies and movie scores so having this for my home cinema experience was the best purchase I made in a long time!
