Needed a new laptop to keep up with the new Dawntrail Patches in Final Fantasy 14 and this serves admirably! Playing it is usually where I hear the laptop’s noise but isn’t unbearably loud, the game’s sound usually drowns it out. I haven’t dealt with much heating issues either. I could play for hours and not feel like my fingers are about to get burned off like my old laptop did. I unfortunately can’t judge how well it handles other games aside from FFXIV and SWTOR as I still use GeForce Now to stream the bulk of my other games. It doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for a lot of the games that have come out recently. But beside that it’s a solid buy for the price! I rated battery life as average only because I don’t really know how it is. It’s been connected to the charger since I’ve gotten it.

Man I was setting the laptop up and reading the reviews and thought about turning it off and returning but i figured i would try it myself since i had it and glad i did! All i wanted was to play bops 6 and fortnite on the go and this laptop does it with ease! As others had mentioned definitely would get another 8gb of ram(like 22 bucks) and thats it. Play cod no problem and fortnite abd both games look good for 1080 p. Its not game in 4k or nothing but if you just want something to play on the go and dont feel like carrying a big ps5 or new xbox everywhere you go this is it! Now i wouldnt pay 699-799 for it but on sale for 429.99 is a steal! Just get the ram and your set!

This HP Victus is a solid choice for budget-conscious gamers. The Ryzen 5 processor handles most games well, and the graphics card delivers decent performance. I appreciate the speed of the DDR5 memory and the ample storage. However, 8GB of RAM might be limiting for multitasking, and the screen brightness could be better for gaming in various lighting conditions. Overall, it's a good entry-level gaming laptop.

This pc is great. For games, it can run pretty much all of the small indie games, and can actually run the slightly bigger ones like Sonic Racing Crossworlds (who wanna play with me?). Although, I believe that the base ram isnt enough, and some stuff doesn't work like the light-up keyboard, but to me those are some minor inconveniences. Overall, this laptop is amazing, Definitely worth the price (when it’s around $500)

This is a great gaming laptop for on the go gaming. Allows you to do schoolwork or work and still be able to game on the go. It only comes with 8g of ram so you will need to updgrade it right away. If you want this to be a full time gaming computer on the Cheap I wouldn’t recommend it. At $700 plus you’d end up spending another 2-400 on ram (required if you want it to function for anything but Minecraft and maybe Roblox) you’re better off buying a prebuilt. We got this for our kid a few years back and we’re already replacing it. (Wasn’t my decision I lost that fight but ultimately won a few years later because he now has a whole gaming rig) All in all though if you’re looking for an affordable gaming laptop for the occasional on the go gaming i would definitely recommend this laptop.

I had originally been looking for a low priced desktop with a dedicated GPU to help speed up 3D rendering in some non-gaming apps that I use. That search ended quickly with the outrageously high GPU prices. I decided to check into gaming laptops and I stumbled upon this laptop for $450 (on sale) and decided it would fit the bill and was well within budget. I easily upgraded to 32GB of RAM and this laptop is actually a pretty decent spec'd system for the money. The dedicated GPU works well for what I need. The GPU with only 4GB of VRAM might be a bottleneck for most AAA gaming titles, but it's fine for what I need with 3D modeling. If you can find it on sale, it's a great budget gaming laptop.

I bought this for my daughter for school. Does everything she needs and more. She also plays Genshin Impact, Minecraft, and Roblox. The graphics are not super high tech, but they are good enough to keep her happy. Battery life is okay, unless playing a game, or have lots of tabs open.

Overall a great computer, super quick, responsive. Although, the battery drains quickly which is the only problem I have with it. I used this for university and some gaming. Black ops 3 specifically and it runs well! No crazy high settings though!

seems ok. I bought this for my 11 year old son. he hasn't played it much but wifi seems slow. overall decent build quality, but the screen is kinda washed out. speakers a quiet. the battery life seems weird when's its fully charged it says under 3 hours left that's without anything running. also its kinda loud and the fan runs a lot. for half price its worth it but full price im unsure. runs Roblox fine but he's says its lags on Fortnite

LowKey - Clutch Laptop. This Victus is definitely a beast for that price point. I was able to pick this up from my local best buy on sale mind you, 0% interest for 14 months. Granted the ram was low so I picked up 2 Corsair Vengence Sticks 16gbs a piece with the unit. Got the unit home; Performed ram upgrade and powered it on for the first time. Promptly made it through Windows Out of Box Experience, and was able to update the PC in full. Complete Package: This unit is legit the complete package for the price point. HP not only set you up with an high performance Ryzen 5 7535HS and an RX6550M card but they provide the software needed to adjust the performance. Omen Gaming hub's Network booster, and Optimizer is sooo clutch if your online gaming. I was able to get everything tunned in on fortnite, and pull a consistent refresh rate of 120-144 FPS during online gameplay. Furmarks OpenGL engine pushed the GPU to 100% utilization and around an average 53 FPS. Mind you the Furball looked perfect. Unit was tested on and off a universal USB-C docking station, with 2 27in external displays. I got the exact same results on and off dock. I think the biggest winner with this unit is a 130W ac adapter. My Omen will be in the repair shop so this Victus is just my backup, but I must say, AMD did not disappoint. This unit will need more ram than just 8gb's but its a low key monster, no cap - straight rizz.

had to buy another one when it was on sale, new, for $449! Pair it with a $20 crucial or A-Tech stick of 8GB DDR5 RAM off of amazon and you have yourself a portable machine that can run AAA games no problem. I can even crank Cyberpunk up to Ultra settings with fantastic framerates. The AMD dGPU isn't as seamless as an NVIDIA dGPU, but once you get the drivers you need off of AMD's website, it is an absolutely fantastic experience for how little you will pay (if you buy during a sale). Plus, backlit keyboard for those late-night sessions! How awesome is that?!

Bought it during Black Friday this year (2024) & had it for a week so far. It's pretty good, the only downside is the 8GB of RAM, but it can still play most games pretty well. I mostly am using it for older games, but it can play Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, & Cyberpunk 2077 on mid-low settings at 1080p with a good framerate or high if you don't mind lower framerates, but the fans get kind of loud, so I'd stick with mid-low settings at 1080p or 720p with high settings. I might upgrade the RAM later down the line, but for right now it's doing well enough out of the box. It's definitely great for indie & retro gaming & also great for non-gaming stuff like streaming. The price was also really good & you can't really find much better in that price range. Plus. it's an HP & my last HP laptop was also really good, but it was old & I needed an upgrade.

I’ve been using the HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop for a little while now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS chip and 8GB of DDR5 RAM handle gaming and everyday tasks with ease, making it perfect for both work and play. The AMD Radeon RX 6550M graphics deliver smooth visuals for most games, and the 512GB SSD means everything loads quickly without feeling sluggish. The Full HD display looks sharp, and I love the sleek Mica Silver finish—it gives the laptop a stylish, modern vibe. Overall, it’s been a great choice for me, balancing both power and design at a reasonable price.

This gaming laptop is phenomenal for mid-high-tier gaming (1080p 144hz) as well as rendering, editing, and other multi-task processes due to the graphics card (being comparable to the 1660 TI), at such a budget-friendly price. During the sale, it is almost half off. ☺ DDR5 Memory ☺ 144 Hz ☺ Bright back-lit keys ☺ Good speakers ☺ A lot of ports (Ethernet, HDMI, USB-C, 3.5mm, etc.) ☹ 8GB Memory (Fast, yet not enough) ☹ 512GB Storage (Not enough for gaming or rendering)

ive had it for a couple months now and its a very good option for the price, it is a bit loud (the ventilation) but it is to be expected because the graphics are decent, only thing you need to do is upgrade the ram ASAP, buy a 16gb card and just insert it, very easy installation, also you could upgrade the ssd but you could manage for a bit with the 500gb
