Good laptop for the price. Although the battery drains pretty quickly it is overall a good laptop. It is fast and snappy, great for gaming.

Great laptop for work and games. I usually play everything in low to mid visuals, because I value performance over presentation personally. But this lill laptop can play all my games, no worries with Helldivers 2 on low to mid. Though I do recommend adding ram if you can afford it.

Very great laptop. I got mines for 500 and the performance is worth every penny. 8gb of ram is a little limiting so I suggest upgrading to 32gb. Some games can’t even run on 8gb. The temps are amazing. Barely going to the high 70s. Don’t expect long battery life cause it’s a gaming laptop. Screen is very nice and great colors. Just treat it with respect and it’ll last you.

Right out of the box, it's a sleek and well-built machine. The plastic shell can be a little creaky at times when picking it up. The 512GB SSD provides snappy boot times and quick application loading. While it comes with 8GB of memory, I took the liberty of upgrading mine to 32GB, and the process was straightforward.
With the upgraded RAM, this laptop truly shines for my needs. It handles light gaming like Minecraft and Lord of the Rings Online with ease, delivering smooth framerates and a very enjoyable experience. For the price point, its gaming performance is more than decent, making it a fantastic option for casual gamers or those on a budget.
My only minor quibble is the battery life when unplugged; it's not the longest-lasting. However, this isn't a significant issue for me as I primarily use it plugged in for gaming and productivity.
Overall, the HP Victus 15.6" offers incredible value. It's a powerful and capable machine that has met my expectations for everyday use and light gaming. Highly recommend it!

Purchased as an open-box for under $400. 8GB of RAM out of the box is way too low. Has an extra slot for more RAM on the motherboard so I went ahead and added an extra stick for 16GB total. Fans are also very loud when doing pretty much anything intensive (that includes playing any modern titles unfortunately) but that's just how most gaming laptops are. It's a perfect device for me to use at work and play an occasional game on. Awesome deal all things considered.

If you've been thinking of getting a decent gaming laptop get this when it's on sale. Great laptop for the price when on sale.
Can get a little loud when put under stress but not a deal breaker. I've been very pleased with it.
If you have a monitor at home it helps with the display.

I bought this laptop for light/roblox gaming and didn’t disappoint pushing 100-150 FPS most Roblox games there is a little bottleneck because of the 8gb of ram but once I upgraded my ram to 16 the performance was way better for triples A games 40 fps boost on warzone and no more fps buffering over all for the price 10/10

The computer is perfect for what I needed. It wasn't too expensive and it practically loaded itself. I loved playing the little Microsoft Edge game while waiting for everything to update. The unit was lightweight and didn't get too hot on my lap.
My only complaint is that there was no CD rom but no computers have them installed these days. I had to buy an external CD/DVD player so that's a bit awkward trying to balance everything on my lap.

Does exactly as stated, just problems with ssd being less than stated, 475gb instead of 512gb. Upgrade should fix it. Battery is quite a quick drain but seems standard for gaming laptops. Fan has some decibels but no matter with headphones or silence options if you’re willing to sacrifice performance.

Performance:
This is a typical entry-level laptop, suitable for everyday tasks. While it handles basic use well, it struggles with demanding applications like emulators or certain games. Any advertised 'gaming' capabilities likely refer to cloud streaming or pre-rendered video, not native high-performance gaming. Expect limitations in latency and frame rates, especially for competitive gaming.
Usability:
The laptop effectively fulfills its intended purpose: standard business tasks and web browsing. It manages multiple open tabs without noticeable slowdown, which was a pleasant surprise given my past experiences with HP systems. So far, the bios and other systems have been running smoothly.
Recommendation:
While it performs adequately for basic tasks, I wouldn't readily recommend it. For the same price, or with a bit more patience or savings, you could acquire a laptop with a dedicated graphics card like an RTX 3060, or even a mid-to-high-end system that would provide a much better gaming experience.
Battery:
The battery life is decent, and further optimization is possible through power-saving settings.

The graphics are good and the processing speed is great. Overall it's a great item that does what I need it to. The only pet peeve I have is the built-in mouse is a little bit too sensitive for my clunky fingers.

Loving this mobile gaming unit. Fast, stable, minimal excess software installed. Upgraded the 8Gb stick with a pair of 16Gbs and its even better. Great graphics, keyboard is very comfortable/easy to use, sound is great too. Typically a "budget" gaming laptop but well worth the cost. Highly recommend for those on a tight budget when it goes on sale.

The Victus has better specs than my desktop and cost much less. I've only had it for about a week, it runs perfectly, it's very quiet, and is capable of handling 3D modeling smoothly. Also, it looks much more sleek than other chunky gaming laptops that stick out like a sore thumb. Good Price with Lots of Power…

I’ve been using this every day since I bought it during Black Friday and I’ve been very pleased. Battery life isn’t the best but honestly that’s the only complaint. The look is very sleek and modern. Screen is great as are the speakers. Games play well as long as you know what to expect. A great choice if you can find it on sale
