So far seems fine. Was delivered as promised. Poor experience with Geek squad however. 5 to 7 day time to convert from my old laptop when they only need two hours to perform the work. Can’t be without it for that long

Brought this computer home and it wouldn’t even turn on, brought it back to see if I was doing something wrong. Geek squad took it apart and then still assumed I would want to take it back. I quickly got a refund and went with another dell computer that was cheaper and works fantastic

A fast laptop with superb usable features!

First off, this is one fast laptop. On my home network it ran as fast as 768 Mbps download and 128 Mbps upload. 1) Comparing this laptop to others: Compared to Apple devices the raised typing keys are easier to work with and it makes typing more efficient. I am able to type quicker on applications such as Word. Having a touchscreen on a laptop is great! 2) I like Microsoft Edge. This was my first time using Edge and the functionality is clean and easy to operate. The features and tabs make it easy to search the web and the shopping function is great as it allows you to compare prices of different items from across the internet and multiple websites! 3) The Copilot functionality lets your perform a lot of great tasks, e.g., I was able to summarize a Word document and make it more concise in a bullet point format. I created images but one downside of that is the generic photo format. You can tell it to create an image with assorted colors and images and the general "feel" of the photo will be the same. When I asked it to create an image of a jellyfish at the Great Barrier Reef the image made was more like a drawing or painting than a photograph. 4) The touchscreen is easy to use and the touchpad also works well. It was easy to select different open windows and then return to the main one. Watching movies via streaming from MAX, Prime or Disney+ on this screen is a real treat with no buffering problems at all. I also loaded it up with over 20,000 songs and used it to access and play music wirelessly throughout our home via my Denon HEOS system! I also logged into my Pandora, SiriusXM and Prime Music accounts and played music directly from the laptop as background while working on the laptop. No problems at all! 5) It comes with standard laptop games and that is nice for "down time". 6) Battery time is excellent. Even after 3 days of consistent use there was still no need to charge the battery and I had the screen level on the brightest setting! Overall the laptop is easy to use and functions as desired. I have owned and still own more than a few Dell laptops including a workhorse with a 4K screen and dual SSD drives that is about 8 years old and still running strong as my main music server in our home. In my experience Dell makes a high quality, long lasting product and this Inspiron 14 Plus is in a word, excellent!

Changed My Mind on Using Windows with Snapdragon

After so many bad experiences with Windows running on Snapdragon CPUs, I had promised myself that I would never own another one again. So many constraints made me wonder why anybody would even consider one. Fortunately, I had an opportunity to try this Dell 14 Copilot+ PC and I'm glad I did. It has changed my mind towards Windows running on Snapdragon. Not only have I not run into any issues, but it has made my experience fun and exciting at the same time. And I'm not talking about entertainment. I am talking about productivity. I have been using AI, especially Copilot for a few months now along with Office 365 and it helps me with Excel and Word a lot as it can help me create documents and spreadsheets when I have only a basic idea of what I need and make them very professional. However, one issue I've encountered many times is that if you don't have internet available, you're stuck. Not with this Laptop. It can run Copilot offline. That's huge and I found out while traveling - I'm 4000 away from home as I write this - that it easily makes up for slow internet, and if none is available, it still can do a lot without it. Exceptional battery life is one the most beloved features for me in this laptop. After 4 hours of work, it still shows 72% and 14 hours and 21 minutes remaining. I can't believe it, really! The keyboard is comfortable to use although I don't like where the power button is located, too close to the delete button which I've hit many times by mistake. Fortunately, it comes right back up when you press on it again without losing anything you were doing, but it is still an annoyance. Overall performance is very good even for light video editing which was something that it suddenly offered to do for me using Microsoft Clipchamp which I had never used before and found it incredibly easy, especially for those without experience in editing video. Of course, not everything is perfect and my biggest complaint is the camera. At 1080p, you don't get a perfect image of yourself when using Teams for instance and keeps you from using some features successfully. Fortunately, it is good enough to support Windows Hello Face which has become my preferred method to log in, even more than the fingerprint option built into the power button as that one fails too often on every computer I have tried. Below is a summary of pros and cons in my opinion. Pros - Light for the size - Metal case - Mostly attractive design - Performs much better than any Snapdragon laptops of the past - AI offers features I've learned to rely on and it works offline too (greatest pro) - Good battery life - Comfortable keyboard Cons - 1080p camera - Occasional throttling. - Not designed for gaming. In summary, if you’re in the market for a well-rounded laptop, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus Copilot+ PC is definitely worth considering, especially because of the AI, battery life and better performance than similar models in the past!

Powerful, lightweight, but gets a little warm

powerful and easy to use. I've had this laptop for about a week, and I've been using it as a replacement for my current desktop. This thing is very lightweight, has a fast processor and a fast SSD hard drive. The size and specs of this laptop make it perfect for students and the touch screen adds another touch to make it almost feel like a tablet. I am writing this review using Microsoft Copilot in the Microsoft Word app. I shouldn't say that I am writing this review because I am speaking into the app and it is typing the words that I say. This is pretty cool and am very surprised at how accurate it is while I am speaking in my normal tone and speed. There is a bit of a learning curve but at first blush I can say that there were very few mistakes using CoPilot to write this review. The laptop did get a little bit warm while using it on my lap, so I would suggest making sure you have some space underneath the base so that the air can dissipate. It does have a little "ledge" underneath so it props it up about 1/8th of an inch off of the surface, but that should probably be a little larger. I wish I had something like this when I was in school it would've made writing book reports so much easier. The technology kids have these days is amazing. It autocorrects as I speak which is another cool feature. I wanted to try and see if this would dictate what the speaker was saying in one of my in-person meetings, but I decided not to do that. I appreciate the backlit keyboard and the 16gb memory seems to be more than enough for what I used this for. I think it’s important to know that you need a Microsoft 365 account or similar to use this. When I began the initial setup, I wasn’t able to move forward without logging into my account. I don’t recall seeing a way to bypass that, so I logged into mine. When setting this up after logging into my account, it asked me if I wanted to restore from one of the backup devices. I declined and set it up as a new device. Setup was painless and it updated the device at the same time. I found the audio to be sufficient, but it didn’t blow me away while watching some online videos and listening to music. Not really a big deal since I typically use Bluetooth headphones anyway. The screen is really bright and vibrant even at less than full power. I didn’t get to check the battery life as I always kept it plugged in while I was working and is not usually a deciding factor for me when purchasing a laptop. I appreciate that I can log in using several methods including facial recognition, fingerprint reader or password. I found both the facial rec and the fingerprint reader to be fast and responsive and will be my primary method of logging in. Overall, I really like this laptop and it will be my primary device when travelling and when I go back and forth to work due to it’s features and small weight.

Packaging = very green. Minimal, all recyclable. Setup was pretty quick, not a lot of Windows updates which was a nice change (this usually ends up being multiple hours of effort). McAfee will get removed as soon as possible (not a fan, not this is a completely personal take based on using it years ago). Already getting Dell and McAfee pop-ups within a few days of use - I definitely prefer a minimal install instead of that baggage. Windows 11 (non-x86 install) laptop with a Co-pilot button. Right now Co-Pilot is just a glorified internet search tool and not much more (verfiied with some searching online...). Could not use it to open Applications. Paint Co-Creator generates nightmares and nothing more. Paint Image Creator - Create button never became available for me. Laptop is VERY lightweight. No heat generated, especially while on my lap. Battery charged quickly, and looks like it will last quite awhile during normal use (browser use basically). Charging cable doesn't have a bulky brick on it, and about a 6' cable. Keyboard is just the right amount of tactile feel to it, as well as the click of the keys. Touchpad is pretty expansive, and works as you would expect. There isn't much in the way of ports but there at least one USB for a mouse (unless you go Bluetooth). Laptop isn't powerful enough for gaming (and there are possible compatibility issues), but general internet browser and other business type apps are fine. Touchscreen is bright and clear. Snapdragon processor may cause some issues compatibility-wise in the future (the Microsoft Surface also uses an ARM-based processor and we did run into a compatibility issue once for an online test), but I did not run into them. Articles online suggest issues with VPNs and gaming. 500GB HDD space should be enough for non-gaming purposes.
