I remember playing this series a decade ago and it sure hit me hard the nostalgia factor is real. A great game to add to your library. Thw only sad thing is that this game didn't join other new releases for the black friday sales.

The game itself play very repetitive but in a fun exciting way! The story line is fantastic and keeps you wanting to play more!

Nice flash back 1-3 a new chapter great for fans of the gu series and new comers as well lighting and shading is touched up do things don't seem as flat. hoping they do the same to the original release .hack1-4

The Hack franchise was pretty big about 15 years ago with an anime, multiple RPG games on the PS2 and many other merchandise. These four games included here are the second wave of games that came out on the PS2. They look incredible when compared to their originals and they are very fun to play. It's a great package with four games that originally released individually.

If you missed it the first time around ont he Ps2, or just want to experience it the first time.... This is a twist, it's a MMO within a singe player game =)

I have always been a fan of old school RPGs but I missed a bunch on the PS2 when they first came out. This collection was the perfect opportunity to pick up these .hack GU RPGs without having to hunt down each one and dust off an old PS2 console. The gameplay is a bit dated and grindy compared to some more modern RPGs but I love having access to the whole collection in one convenient package on the PS4. This is a great value for those looking to scratch an itch for old RPGs from that time.

A prettier version of the PS2 originals. Cheaper and more readily available than those games as well.

The graphics do still look a little dated, but the strength of the G.U. trilogy is the story and characters. Haseo starts off being quite a jerk, but the amount of growth he goes through is tremendous. The other characters are also strong in their delivery. For the price that I got it for ($40), it's really good value.

Definitive version of .hack Gu games on ps4. All 3 GU games in one disc! Basically you play as main character Haseo in a virtual online game but you are not really in an online game with many other characters and story goes on from there. A great remaster of the ps2 .hack GU series if you ask me.

The gameplay has seen some nice quality of life updates. the story and characters are great.

.hack gu is a good story with great world building but it has somewhat mediocre gameplay. I'm not going to spoil the story, but the world building is done by logging on to fictional forums inside the game. You don't have to read them, but they do show how other (npc)players are reacting to what's happening in the mmo portion of the game. Also what the developers imagined what would happen in the future.

A good game for everyone. Great graphics, good storyline, and virtual game play.

I used to watch the Anime .hack back in highschool / college and loved the series for what it was. I was turned on to the game too far after the PS2 generation and missed my opportunity to play any of the original .hack or .gu series games without having to drop some major coin. This series reboot / re-release satisfies my craving a little bit. Gameplay is fresh and the visuals are upscaled well.

This game is not for everyone. The graphics seem a little outdated, even for the type of game it is. I bought the game because I wanted more in-depth story, character progression, and immersion into the world which this genre has a great track record of, Final Fantasy series as an example. If you played, watched, or read any of the "Soul Art Online" iterations this will seem familiar.

This collection has a HD remake of the “Dot Hack GU” first three parts, and includes the never been released fourth part / ending. It is a fondly remembered game that looks great in its remaster, I just wish they would remake the original Dot Hack. :(

This has been amazing to play on the ps4! And there are 4 games on the disc!

You get 4 games for 20$ so hard to argue with that. Some of the gameplay feels outdated and it's hard to care about anyone but the main character. Still a recommended experience with a great engaging story.
