Another excellent record from QotSA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Queens of the Stone Age return to a darker, yet more personal sound on Like Clockwork. It's heavy, melodic, and a sold album through and through that rewards with each subsequent listen. More please

Another great album from Queens of the Stone Age
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't even realize how long Queens of the Stone Age had done without a new album until this new one came out. 2007: Era Vulgaris, 2013: ...Like Clockwork (at least we had Them Crooked Vultures in the middle). A lot of people have said this album seems like a departure for them, but I don't feel that way. It reminds me of Lullabies to Paralyze in a lot of ways, with even some Peace, Love and Death Metal thrown in. I can easily see myself listening to this album as much as I did Era Vulgaris, which would distract me from noticing if QOTSA once again goes 6 years without releasing an album. I hope that doesn't happen though.

One of their best efforts thus far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.QOTSA has put out some great albums in the past but has rarely shown a lot of change in their style for each album. Like Clockwork... has shown a big change in style and experimentation. Some aspects of QOTSA's signature sound are lost in this album but new ones replace them nicely. Great guest appearances without making them obvious, too.

Great disc!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! Finally a release that never leaves the player. Sure, it's not Songs For the Deaf. But that's what makes it great. It displays a sonic maturation that Josh pulls off perfectly. Songs may start on the mellow side, but then take a hard turn as only the Queens can pull off. If you are a QOTSA fan, don't hesitate. Just buy this.

Great release after such a long absence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.QOTSA's self produced new record since 2007 is definitely a must have for new and veteran QOTSA/Kyuss fans. With featured contributions from old school QOTSA favorites such as Nick Oliveri, Trent Reznor, and Dave Grohl this album showcases the classic QOTSA formula of high volume riffs and lyrics that are playfully demented and sarcastically earnest.

Bowie-influenced Hard Rock!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this Queens of the Stone Age album, sounds very heavily influenced by Davie Bowie's harder-rocking tunes. Good guitar bombast, especially on "If I had a Tail" and "Kalopsia". Some of the songs sound a little goth-moody in some parts, but overall an excellent rock album.

A good sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I liked this album. It had been awhile since I heard any QOTSA and I was a little apprehensive, but I liked it. I think the Dave Grohl influence really helps. The more I listened to the album, the more it grew on me.

Good CD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Queens of the stone age has a unique sound that I think most true music aficionados will appreciate. This is an addition to my collection and it may not be my favorite, but a good listen nonetheless.

Solid Disc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great disc, but the music is a bit slower than previous QofSA music - but, it's very, very good - give it a few listens if you're not sold at first.
