    I brought my Alienware Aurora R5 desktop to the store in Flagstaff to get a noisy power supply replaced and maybe get an additional fan installed for the SSD drive which is running too hot. Upon arrival at the store counter, the associate asked to have the password for my PC at which time I gave him the passcode to be able to run the PC. He insisted that he doesn't want the passcode but needs the password instead. All he needed to access and run the PC for whatever testing, is the pass code (Windows10 Pro). I was not about to give them access to my documents folder. I finally grabbed my PC and left the store without getting stuff done. I wasted a nearly 200 mile trip to Flagstaff. I am going to insist to get my money back for a service which seems to be useless.

      Generally speaking, when a hardware item is being replaced in a PC, we do ask that the customer provide us with the password of the unit as we do have to run diagnostic software and at times install drivers. Without access to the unit, we would be unable to complete the repair. We take your privacy very seriously and we welcome you to create or enable the Guest account so we can still have access to the unit, while keeping your personal files safe.

    My first and only online or phone support was horrendous. No fixes were even proposed only a take it to the store option which I did and was very satisfied with...online support terrible, in store support was stellar.

    Purchased two year Geek Squad 24/7 help. Brought new computer home and had lots of questions. Spoke to 9 or 10 agents over a period of one week. Most were not knowledgeable enough to help. Some were from overseas and hard to understand. Finally connected with a super knowledgeable lady in Montana. She solved one of our main issues and the store Manager solved some of our other issues, but it should not have been this hard. Now I'm afraid to call them because I'm not ready to spend two hours on the phone and then not get the right information.

    Motherboard failed and took it in for service,They had to send it to Kentucky, took 2 weeks and got it back and brought it home. Motherboard was still bad! Took it back in they sent it back to kentucky again. Took 2 weeks and they sent it back with bad motherboard and bad graphics chip. Took it back in to Best Buy and they sent it back to Kentucky AGAIN, 2 more weeks it gets sent back with the very same bad motherboard ( We marked it ) Finally best buy refunded my purchase price. Terrible experience!!!!

    I have mixed reviews of the service, it is good because it covers the repairs where not having a warranty will you you dead in the water however the average repair tine I have experienced on a desktop is 4-5 weeks. Being that you can build a computer from scratch in a couple hours why a repair would take a month plus is unknown. So I would recommend on a pricey purchase but be ready to be without for a few weeks.

    In store - Worst customer service, worst support, not knowledgeable, do not provide services they are supposed to or that you request, totally F’d up set up of new computer & didnt get it all up & running smoothly for 5months!!!! Never will use Geek Squad again!! Sad because the remote/online customer service was actually good.

    I really don't know what this supposed warrenty and service agreement is good for. Geek squad really wasn't helpful with helping computer which I actually had to return as it didn't work.

    I tried to use the parts replacement plan and they would not replace the keyboard. I would recommend not wasting you money on this support.
