Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the ease of use, the included keyboard, and the tablet's size. Many appreciate the affordable price and find the performance adequate for their needs. However, some customers note that the weight of the device is a drawback, and the limited storage capacity is a concern for some users. The smaller amount of RAM available is also mentioned as a potential limitation.

    Great camera for my dad

My dad is stuck in the stone age, and I bought him this tablet in hopes to try and bring him out. He loves this tablet. It's just big enough to where he can see it, without it being so large that it's in the way. He takes this to work and is able to keep up with people much younger and experienced in technology. It's very simple, yet sophisticated and allows my dad to be treated with respect and keep up in an ever growing technological world. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy a computer/tablet for someone who is not so tech saavy.

I needed a relative inexpensive Windows tablet/laptop. Something to complement my main machine that I could carry anywhere and not worry too much about it being damaged/lost/stolen. So this fits the bill. It is a bit heavy, especially with the keyboard, and slow, but I'm not using it for intensive work or games, that's what my main machine is for. What it does do is run all my Windows programs without issues. Happy with the purchase so far.

Actually bought two of these. One to be used as is and another for my experiments with Linux distros. Very satisfied with them and particularly love that these came with a Full HD screen. A real bargain at the time I purchased them. Wish this one had a 64 bit EFI instead of the 32 version, but I was told that they put a 32 EFI on a 64 bit system to make it cheap price wise. Also wished Insignia provided a firmware update to install 64 bit EFI and 64 bit OS.

This unit clicks right into the keyboard and away I go with a small laptop on the go. Great for projects and tasks away from the home. Recommended buy, and inexpensive for all you get with it.

This tablet/mini-laptop is perfect for watching movies (either streaming or download) and for doing light computer work. It quickly switches from tablet to laptop mode. The touchscreen is sensitive and performs well. The pblms I had are minor, with quick fixes: 1) CAPS lock button fell off; reaffixed with glue - works w/o pblm. 2) USB ports VERY tight - use caution and a little extra finger muscle to remove plugged-in items. 3) Fair built-in speakers - use Bluetooth or corded headphones. For my purposes (watching movies on planes & hotels) and light computing (surfing web, banking, etc.), this is perfect... well worth the cost.

Good Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet for the money

If you’re looking for a Windows tablet and don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is a tablet for you. This tablet and keyboard are very sturdy which makes it a little heavier than some available. It has 2 usb ports on the keyboard, so you can add an external mouse if you don’t like the touchpad on the keyboard. I’ll be adding a 128gb micro sd card which will give me 160gb of storage in the device. And plugging an external flash drive into the other usb port, you can easily access your data from other devices. It’s not super fast, but if you like the idea of having a mini-pc you can grab-and-go, this is a good deal.

To be as fair as possible I must say the display is excellent, good battery life and seemed sturdy even with the detachable keyboard in place. Now, for anyone used to the Apple or Android universe you're in for a rude awakening. The windows interface is not as intuitive as either of the other two. Navigating the start menu takes a bit of getting used to. Worst of all for me was the power of the processor.

Overall, this tablet is pretty good. Pros: Decent processor, good-sized keyboard, good screen resolution, charges from USB-C so I only need one charger, full-sized USB ports on keyboard, etc. There are a lot of things Insignia did right on this, actually. Cons: There is NO support from Insignia! If you are a modder, back up your drivers FIRST before you touch this thing because you can't get them from Insignia! Keyboard is a little flimsy-feeling. USB ports are very tight - felt like I was going to break something when unplugging a USB drive for the first time. Touchpad is okay, nothing amazing.

I got it for my girl's first day at her University. She was telling me about a how she needed like a lap top or something that would be easy to care and us in class. This was perfect the screen was just the right size, not to big or small and it's a two in one that made life even more fun and easy for her to use. She loves everything about she always wanted one and it was a good price for me and turned out to be a better product then I expected. It runs smooth and is reliable.

When it comes to computers I simply use all the money budgeted to buy the best options. The computer has been easy to master, reliable, fast and dare say fun to use. I love the lighted keyboard and although I have not used it as a tablet yet, there's that too. ...can't beat the solid state drive if storage is not a big concern. You do give up storage for performance and that was my buying choice.

Negatives: I bought this tablet looking for a good internet browser with a keyboard to replace my old 7" tablet. I read other reviews in advance that talked about speed, but they implied that internet browsing speed was still acceptable. I don't agree. I was using super fast wifi, 1 Gig Google Fiber, and it was still hanging while loading websites. Don't even ask about trying to run multiple tabs, it could barely handle one. I tried on multiple different browsers but didn't see any improvement. Positives: Youtube worked perfectly and the screen was amazingly clear. The same screen and experience with a faster processor/memory would have made the whole experience better and I would probably still have the tablet. Recommendation: If you don't mind waiting patiently over a minute for websites to load and you are looking for a great Youtube experience, then you should consider this tablet. Otherwise save up and get a nicer version with more processor/memory speed.

At first I really disliked this 2 in 1 tablet. I felt like the battery didn't hold life well, I was seriously going to return it. I decided not to and I absolutely love this tablet. I call it a laptop honestly because that's how I use it. Make sure to charge it fully then use it. I love the battery saver mode and its very smooth when browsing. My only pet peeve is the "mouse" if you don't align your finger on it correctly it will open a side tab and its so annoying. I've gotten used to it but other than that I love it.

This tablet has a sleek thin build, a bright screen that's not too glossy, and comes with windows 10. It's responsive and snappy, and comes with a detachable keyboard. The mousepad isn't that great, which is the only complaint I have on the product. Other tablets with similar specs and a keyboard cost more than this does. If you have a budget of around $200 I recommend it.

    Limited capabilities as a tablet

Actually wanted an Android tablet not one with Windows 10 on it. Very limited with that operating system. Unfortunately, in tablet mode not many apps are available, Microsoft should address that problem. For the price it is okay if you are looking for limited use with a keyboard, but if you want a lot of apps find an Android system. This is also a little heavier than I like. I do like the fact it has an expansion slot, this helps increase the value as ipads don't have that feature. I actually bought it for my husband, it works for him. It would not have enough power for me or do everything I would expect from it. Actually I don't know how they get away calling it a tablet when it is so limited. If you want a computer with Windows 10, buy a computer, if you want a tablet for lots of apps, don't invest in this model. But if you can live with the limited use and few apps available, price wise it is acceptable. Would I recommend it to a friend as a tablet. NO, as a quasi computer with limited use, YES

My husband wanted something bigger than his phone with a normal sized keyboard yet portable enough for travel. He loves watching vids, following social media and checking emails on this device. The keyboard is easy to remove and replace. Can't beat the price!

The removable keyboard lets me use it like my laptop. The tablet is a good size for reading and playing games. Better than the small screen on my phone. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't have a lot of memory. So I have to use external memory.

What made me buy three of these for my kids was the screen resolution: 1920 x 1080. The 2 GB system memory is not that great but does what is needed for Windows 10. The 32 GB storage is sufficient. Just add an inexpensive add-on sd card and you are all set. One of the three purchased, however, is presenting some problems. It is under trial observations and may need to be exchanged.

This is nice because it comes with a keyboard that you can remove so it can be used as a tablet with aa touch screen. Rather than carry a laptop around this is nice to carry and if you store your documents in the cloud you have everything available that you would have on your regular computer. The only negative is it's a little heavy for the size but it's not all that bad.

I actually switched to this item in the store. I had ordered something similar on-line, then spotted this tablet with a keyboard. It has been great -- I bought right before a trip where I wanted to use it in airport and hotels. It has been great. My only problem is that it is almost too responsive to my touch. Battery life, weight, functionality have all been very good so far.
