I love this computer. It is very fast. The sytsem works flawlessly. I like hos it connects into the spple environment. The system start very fast.

As a software engineer, I bought this for the compilation speed and the "silent workstation" experience. After using it for several weeks with a heavy local stack (Docker, VS Code, and multiple Chrome instances), here is the reality: ​Compilation & Speed: It turns a 2-minute build into 30 seconds. The M-series architecture is a force multiplier for anyone working in Rust, Go, or Xcode. ​Memory (RAM): Do NOT get the base 16GB if you use Docker or heavy IDEs. 36GB is the sweet spot where you stop checking Activity Monitor. ​Thermal Control: It stays dead silent. My previous Intel Mac sounded like a jet engine during a simple npm install; this barely gets warm. ​Display: The ProMotion 120Hz makes reading code significantly easier on the eyes. If you can afford the Nano-texture option, it’s a game-changer for working near windows. ​Battery: Real-world dev use (IDE + Simulator) gives me about 7-9 hours. Not the "20+ hours" advertised for video playback, but still enough to leave the charger at home. ​The Catch: Apple’s RAM and SSD pricing is predatory. Buy exactly what you need now, because you can’t upgrade later. ​Verdict: If your income depends on your code, this is the best investment you can make.

Incredible, simply incredible. I upgraded to this MacBook Pro from my old 2020 MacBook air that was made when Apple was still running on intel processors. I just started getting into production video editing, and capturing high quality 4K/ProRes video footage. And where my old Air couldn’t even process the footage I was attempting to capture in 720p 30fps, this Pro can process not only 4K & ProRes at 60fps, but it can process separate 4K & ProRes videos, and capture high fidelity lossless audio all at the same time, and it doesn’t even break a sweat! Plus it’s quiet, compact, and lightweight! (Granted not as lightweight as an Air, but much lighter than a desktop or most PCs laptops that attempt to produce this much computing power) AND it connects to my desk monitors seamlessly. To say this MacBook Pro has completely changed my productivity and the way I view and use a computer, would be an understatement. Outstanding!

Had my other computer for 9 years and a lot of the keys were popping off so I was forced to get a new one. Chat gpt also helped me pick this one out based on my needs. It is soooooo fast, sleek, love the finger ID access for passwords and things. The battery I swear never dies! I used to live attached to outlets with my old one but this computer lasts forever! So glad I upgraded!

I have always been a windows guy. I love to tinker and play games while doing my own tech research. The last macbook pro i owned loved to death and ran to the ground. M5 has come light years ahead. Office, code bulld, this rig can handle what you throw at it while powering on in seconds. Could mac os use better app suppeot? Sure. But 3p is responsible for that. Hint hint gaming companies. Overall happy with my purchase. Sucks adding ram and ssd space is so cost prohibitive.

Overall, I feel that this MacBook has not only served me well in its fast speeds and long battery life, but also for the main reason I use it which is music writing! It has little to no delay and helps me be creative in my writing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the music industry!

Amazing laptop. Replaced my M2 PRO Macbook Pro. Much faster than my PRO chip. Very long battery life and excellent speakers. Somewhat affordable compared to the windows pro laptops with similar spec. The size is perfect, the performance is fast and smooth, and the screen is absolutely stunning.

Although M4 MacAir and M5 MacPro are pretty close in performance, this MacPro is better in sound, screen resolution and built in ports. Also, the option of a 1TB hard drive puts it in front of the MacAir. It’s a bit more expensive, buts it’s worth the investment if you are not really tight on budget or stay at least 5 years with the same hardware.

I’ve been an Apple user across a number of devices for a long time and finally needed to upgrade my iMac. I purchased this latest M5 laptop and it’s amazing. Speed, display and battery life are all excellent. The best part of this upgrade was using Apple’s built in Migration Assistant which was so easy to use to move all my data, files and apps from my iMac to my new laptop. Total transfer process took about 3 hours but worked perfectly.

Love my new MacBook Pro with the M5 chip. The color on the display is so vibrant and rich, and I especially love how they removed the Digital Touch tool bar. It was something I really appreciated from my Mac book air M2 chip. Screen size is perfect - I do photo editing and some design work and don’t get super frustrated with the size. Overall I would say Apple went back to basics in the best way possible.

The upgrade from the Macbook Air M1 to the Macbook Pro M5 was well worth it. Better battery life that virtually lasts ALL day, significantly better and faster performance for heavy video editing, gets the job done, and doesn't freeze up. I have been using the Macbook Pro M5 for around a month and still have zero complaints.

I recently made the switch from a Windows laptop to this MacBook M5, and my only regret is not doing it earlier. The battery life is ridiculously impressive – it easily gets me through a full workday and then some. I also did some research before purchasing, and from what I’ve found, this processor should handle the AI evolution well, which gives me confidence this will stay relevant for years to come.

The MacBook Pro M5 is a beast for photo and video work. It’s fast, stays smooth under heavy edits, and the battery lasts all day. The display is insanely sharp and color accurate, and the 14-inch size is perfect for travel while still giving plenty of screen space to edit comfortably.

Loved loved this awesome laptop. BUT way too much for this 79 yo to handle — had to have geek squad help me out!! I ended trading it down and am waiting for me simplier new laptop. Sure was a nice nice very complicated device

This is an impressive laptop. Handles photo and video editing with ease. Everyday tasks are no issue and games work well with no slowdowns. I upgraded from a 2018 MacBook with the Intel chip and the M5 is incredible. If you own an older MacBook, do yourself a favor and upgrade to this machine!

small Powerful and capable. Hate to spend the money but they do make very nice things. I will say coming from a 15 inch pro the 14 inch seams miles smaller due to the increase in screen size vs laptop size
