It took some getting used to a 2-in-1 laptop. However, it is lightweight in size and a heavyweight in terms of functionality. Additionally, the new Windows 10 was also something to get used to. However, the picture and sound quality are very good. I'm giving it five stars based on my experience so far. If I encounter any difficulties, I am certain I would not rate it less as it has already proven it's value to me.

High performance equals heat. There is no way around it. Dissipating the heat means fan noise. Most manufacturers will sacrifice performance or mobility to make their machines quieter. I take performance any day.

I got this to be a work and fun device. I wanted something to do my document stuff, some programming, some media etc. The tablet mode and pen support was, in my mind, a great deal. So I decided to take a look at this at Best Buy and man...this was the slimmest and lightest 2 in 1 in that segment. I had spectre x360, yoga 720, Samsung notebook 9 pro, hp spectre 360 x2, galaxy book in mind. Again, I thought having a 2 in 1 would be a balance between tablet and a traditional laptop and help my needs. So I got this, got home excited, unboxed, set it up etc. The initial set up took a while, and the fan ran like crazy. I thought it might be due to all the updates running etc.- moved on. But the fan started coming on all the time and it started running real hot. Thinking I might have had a defective unit, because i haven't seen any other reviewers complaining about this. Everything else is amazing- 1080p screen is great, specs can't be beat for this price- i7, 16gig ram, 512 SSD, 13" 1080p, USB C charging, great battery life. But what didn't work out for me was the aspect ratio in tablet mode and the keyboard in the back. The regular;ar 13" in tablet mode has disproportionate length and it starts being bothering after a while. When you fold it for tablet mode, the keyboard on the back is very annoying. Lastly, its still bulky to hold or use as a tablet. I don't think most people who buy 2 in1s use the tablet form much, but i wanted to use it and it was no replacement for a tablet. So I returned this and got a surface pro. I hate to spend money on overpriced apple/ Microsoft products, but it is what it is. In conclusion- If you are a user who is looking for tablet functionality mostly, look for a regular tablet.

Yes, it cost more than the laptop I originally bought and returned. This is the one I should have purchased in the first place. It is light. it is small but it is blazing fast. A perfect touring companion that fits easily in the bike. The only issue I ever had with this is runaway processes using up the CPU and getting kind of hot. Not the unit's fault. After all the updates and there were many it runs like a top. For my use in traveling it's darn near perfect. Photos, Videos, Garmin routes, internet, office, and email are all easy with this CPU and storage. Did I say it's fast? It's very thin and takes up little space and the screen is great. ASUS makes good stuff here. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

    Amazing powerful laptop for college

I was having a hard time picking a good, reliable laptop for college and especially one that would last me a while. I always read reviews before I even consider purchasing a laptop. I had been researching laptops since March, and it hasn't been easy looking at bad reviews and especially reviews from those really tech savvy people. When looking at the bad reviews about this computer, I was really scared and iffy, but the pricing of the laptop was so nice and affordable for me. After talking with a best buy experts, and some of my friends who work with computers for a living, I felt like this could be the laptop for me and for many college student. After telling them all my concerns (even if they're silly questions, keep asking because it's your money). I can say wholeheartedly that I do not regret my decision in purchasing this product, its so amazing. There was a lot of reviews about the keyboard being oddly flat and not really feeling any feedback or always messing up typing. It's very easy to get use to, especially for someone who needs to type a lot and for a long period of time. I recommend you going to the store to see the laptop and see how fast you can type on a speed test typing website. I saw some complaints about the USB but I have no have any problems with it, and because they do not have a USB on the actual computer, they do give you an extension for your USB. I can see how some can complain about the heat from the laptop can be a bit much, but I only seem to notice it when it's plugged in and i'm using it. It's never uncomfortable for me and can sit on my lap easily and I hardly notice it. It is bulky to be considered a 'tablet' but I don't think this was meant to be used as a tablet ALL the time, but it can be used like it. I dont really care for the tablet mode. But overall it's fast, reliable, portable, light but not too small, and just an amazing laptop. I'm so happy with this laptop!

For the last couple of computer buys, I have chosen a desktop over a laptop/notebook for one simple reason; I do heavy photo editing (more than 1 Gig), and I felt that the biggest bang for my buck was with a desktop. This little laptop has changed my mind. So far, it has easily handled large, high resolution files with camera raw edits, Lightroom, and Photoshop without even a hiccup. When in the studio (another point I’ll make in a sec), I have the laptop docked to the following peripherals: • Asus 27” HD LED monitor • Stereo speakers with a sub • Ethernet connection to network hub • USB connection to a USB 3.0 hub that runs: o 3 external hard drives (for automated network backups) o Wireless keyboard/mouse o Memory card reader, o An occasional other USB 3.0 device that I may plug in. All that is the reason that I was hesitant to get a laptop. It’s a lot to ask of a docked laptop in the $1K range. This device handles it quite nicely. A couple of notes: 1) USB-C: both a pro and a con. It’s an amazing port that can do almost anything. However, it would be nice to have 4 of them instead of 2. 2) Charging through the USB-C Port: I thought it was odd. Now I see the versatility it offers. If you are about to run out of battery and do not have access to a plug, an external power pack will charge your laptop!! The same little device that we carry around for phone/pad charging will also charge the laptop (or at least keep it running a while longer). 3) USB-C issues: Very few. They both work with a heavy load on them, but do get a lot of warnings to try to improve the USB connections. Does not seem to affect functionality. 4) Memory: There is a sacrifice in the amount of memory you get for this price with an SSD. The SSD is still worth the sacrifice. Just slip an external drive or flash drive in your pocket if you need extra memory. The SSD start-up/shut-down time for me is about 10% of what I’m used to with an HHD. One last thing. If you have been sacrificing portability to get more horsepower, it might be time to take a second look. It’s really nice to have my computer with me and not having to break a back to drag around a big laptop or desktop.

I purchased the Asus - 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop last month. It has an Intel Core i7 and 16GB Memory with 512GB Solid State Drive and Matte gray color I like the tablet function in a laptop with this ASUS convertible notebook computer and the convenient flip hinge. It comes with Windows 10 Home. This notebook computer also comes with a touchscreen and fingerprint recognition. The touch screen is pretty responsive. The only thing I wish it had was a regular USB port. It's a pain in butt. Instead, I had to buy a dongle (adapter) that I plug into the port to get USB functionality. All in all, though, despite the lack of a USB port, I recommend this lap top to friends.

Started malfunctioning just after 14 day period.

I was attracted to this computer's build quality and USB C charging capability. After I purchased it, I realized that it's using the older DDR3 RAM. This wouldn't have prevented me from purchasing it, but it did bring my pride down a little. I was also disappointed to find out that my USB C phone charger will not charge this laptop, but the laptop charger will charge my cell phone. I understand that you shouldn't expect a phone charger to output the same amps as a laptop charger, but I would have been happy to see the laptop at least slow charge using a phone charger. I like that the lid is held down by magnets, but when opening it, you may have difficulty gripping the lid to lift it from the magnetic hold. Avoid using our finger nails to grip it because you may cause minor nicks in the thin rubber gasket around the screen. Out of the box, the laptop comes with a neat application "ASUS Battery Health Charging". It allows you to set a lower peak charge level to extend the lifespan of the internal battery. This is great for a laptop that seems to always be plugged in and never leaves the computer desk. The application works by passing the charge threshold to the BIOS. I found this out because when I took Windows off of the laptop and installed Linux, the battery still wouldn't charge past the threshold that I had set. I was able to then get the laptop to charge the rest of the way by resetting the BIOS to the default settings. Unfortunately, they don't have the software available for Linux and that setting is not adjustable on any of the BIOS screens, so I am no longer able to take advantage of that nice feature. They don't even offer the software for download on their website. That may be a disappointment to some of you who would prefer wipe the partitions and re-install Windows without all of the pre-loaded bloatware. The main thing that I have to complain about is that just after 14 day eligible return/exchange period, F7 is no longer illuminated on the keyboard. I'm trying to decide whether or not it's going to bother me enough to contact ASUS for a warranty exchange..

Looked at many laptops including Lenovo, Dell and HP. I like the HP Sceptre but the model with all the features I needed was $1500. This was quite a bit cheaper. Note it only had usb-c ports and a headphone jack. New in box comes with an adapter for more ports. The camera only seems to work in VGA mode although it says it is 1M pixel. Other than that it is great. Keep in mind that the Zenbook flip is coming out soon which is similar but higher end. So you might want to wait. Pen functionality is great and is pressure sensitive. Pen is Extra.

Quality laptop with fairly good pricing with this kind of spec comparing to other same range laptops (XPS, HP spectre...) Goods: It's really thin and the 512gb SSD is hard to find on market. Bads: it gets hot and fan sounds a bit loud but it's i7 processor in a such thin format, it is fairly normal after all.

I’m very disappointed with the capabilities of this laptop combo as I was too busy to review it and then too busy to run it through the paces to see if it would work as a replacement for my laptop that’s old and dilapidated. I would have taken it back and got a refund had I realized that I was limited to the amount of external ports on the unit and the fact that there is only one USB port and I have to choose either no mouse for an additional USB port or a mouse and No USB port! I definitely do Not recommend this for anyone who needs to attach to a printer or something else that requires an additional USB port as you have No options! While it may be convenient to have a touch screen with flip capabilities you can’t separate the laptop but have to fold it in half and then the keyboard is on the bottom and unprotected. A very poor and lazy design for the money and the usability.

I've had the Asus Q325UA for a few days, and I'm already extremely impressed with this computer. I was looking for a Windows-based alternative to a MacBook Air, and this laptop more than wipes the floor with the Air as well as some entry-level MacBook Pros, all for a great price. At first glance, the Q325UA is very sleek, thin, and lightweight with a modern look that I was drawn too immediately. If there's any nits to pick about its look it would be that fingerprints do appear on the outer shell quite easily, but this is just a personal gripe that doesn't take away from the overall function. The 1080p screen also adds the beauty of this laptop. The 512 GB SSD makes startup incredibly fast, and the fingerprint reader used for login is INCREDIBLY fast. I'm accustomed to the fingerprint reader on my iPhone which takes a second to read and unlock the phone, but with this reader it feels like I barely have to tap my finger on it in order to unlock the computer. Performance is great with all of the everyday functions I use it for, though I haven't put it through many performance-heavy tasks. The Intel I7 processor and 16GB of memory should be more than enough to power through most tasks that don't require dedicated graphics. Overall, I'm absolutely happy with this laptop and would easily recommend it to others.

Overall this is a great computer with regards to the specs you get for the money compared to an HP. Also very thin and compact, however with that said and from other reviews, the thin size might be contributing to its reduced ability to dissipate heat, as I have noticed this computer likes to run warm/fan on, even when on energy saver mode with screen brightness of 25%
