I purchased this CD because I love Lionel Richie's brilliant talent regarding his singing and writing of music. He is generally known as a prolific writer of love songs in different genres. One could understand his lyrics and feel the emotions he intended through his delivery. He wrote about love, honor and respect between the sexes. I was familiar with this CD and wanted it for my music collection. I am very pleased with it.

younger people need to understand that musical talent was known for being instrumental. it takes true talent to master an instrument and these guy's had that talent. I recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys music. buy it and enjoy the outstanding tunes.

This CD contains the best songs from the Commodores. It is a classic and brings back great memories. Best Buy offers a great price and I got free shipping to the store! I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Have always been a fan of lionel Ritchie so when I ran across this disc for a great value I picked it up, glad I did well worth the money

the comodoers were best with Richie as singer never got a chance to see them live but always liked the sound they put out

This is a great compilation of all of the "hits". Fun to listen to and reminisce and the price was just right.

Commodores is an American funk/soul band, which was at its peak in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. The members of the group met as mostly freshmen at Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) in 1968, and signed with Motown in November 1972, having first caught the public eye opening for the Jackson 5 while on tour. The group's most successful period was in the late 1970s and early 1980s when Lionel Richie was the co-lead singer. The band's biggest hit singles are ballads such as "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Nightshift"; and funky dance hits which include "Brick House", "Fancy Dancer", "Lady (You Bring Me Up)", and "Too Hot ta Trot". In 1986, the Commodores won their first Grammy for the song "Nightshift". This album contains 11 of their best. Don't miss it.
