now anyone who knows me already knows i am not a huge fan of westerns, but this is a true exception. i have been a huge fan of christian bale since batman and russell crowe since forever, and bringing them both into this classic james mangold film adds up to nothing but a kickin success. i now have a new respect for westerns

Saw this before the wide release in the US. AWESOME MOVIE! Russell Crowe and Christian Bale led an extraordinary cast in the film that screamed to be remade better. The blu-ray does a great job of capturing that first experience I had in the theatre. A must own.

4k looks great under 20 bucks grab this if you westerns

Technically a remake, this film holds its own and helped to re-introduce audiences to the western. Good cast and a good story that doesn't lose the raw feel of the "wild west". Recommended to western fans everywhere and anyone who enjoys character drama amid entertaining gunplay.

Owned this on Blu ray for a few years. Love this film. Wonderful cast, lots of action. Russell Crowe always stellar. Logan Lerman stands out, at such a young age. No spoilers here. 4K UHD worth the purchase for the Atmos track alone. Priced right at $14.99.

It was an ok movie. I love westerns but felt it could've been better

Although I haven't seen the original this remake is phenomenal! Crowe and Bale are exceptional actors that make you believe they are the actual characters they play! I have to admit there are slow moving parts in it as all good westerns have but it's still worth 5 stars.

This a remake of the 1957 Film featuring Glenn Ford and Van Heflin. Russell Crowe & Christian Bale are perfect for the parts that they played ... A Bad Guy against the Good Guy Storyline. I would categorize this as a Classic Western as well!
