Customers are delighted by the 4K video quality, ease of use, affordability, durability, and waterproofing of the 4K Action Camera. They appreciate that it is waterproof, eliminating the need for a separate housing, and that it opens up a new world of immersive 4K experiences. However, some customers have concerns about the software and the camera not providing a true 360-degree view, and it struggles in low-light situations.

Paid extra for 4k but pics were still not very clear, not very easy to view on Samsung gear vr. Also did not like the charging mechanism, could only charge it on stand, would rather have a cable that could plug into it so I could leave it mounted on vehicle for more than 2 hours.

This camera is good for rapid prototyping what a 360 video could be like- but is seriously lacking in quality.

The camera stopped recording on its own. The longest it recorded was 17 minutes. A disappointed as the only reason it was purchased was to record a wedding. Good thing I used my video camcorder as back up. It was the only reason the event was captured. I returned the unit immediately.

I did not care for this product. The camera just shoots everything in front of you around your head above your head I don't know I couldn't get it to shoot down word or straight out I just didn't care for the adjuster wasn't what I'm looking for a just doesn't do it for me

Not impressed with the quality of this cam at all, considering it is a five hundred dollar camera, really dark and blurry

After research all the 360 cameras that I could find on the market, I picked the 360fly 4k for several reasons.
1. Single video stream, no clumsy proprietary stitching required to produce a final video. Included software exports directly to facebook and youtube.
2. Price. I bought mine on sale for $400
3. Waterproof up to 5m
4. Included GPS and gyro
5. Form factor
Now that I've had and used the camera for a couple of months, let me go over some of the finer points. I am an avid outdoors person. I hike, bike, and participate in many action sports. I've used GoPros in various aspects, and are familiar with their limitations. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a replacement for an action camera and I'll give some points why.
Video:
At this price point the video quality is great. Is it the best? No. To get better, though, you are looking at spending significantly more money. You also have to pay attention to the settings in the apps, because it defaults to half the native resolution for sharing on social media. This caught me off guard, but once I changed it I noticed my facebook and youtube videos were much more clear.
Audio:
Audio isn't great. Do I care? No. I'm going to try using a separate sound recorder, which I'd do with any other action camera. I've heard some great audio from gopros, but people have modified them to put deadcat material over the mic's. That might work, but I bet it would obstruct some of the video. No biggy.
Form factor:
Yes, this has an integrated battery and integrated memory. IT DOESN'T MATTER. Are you really going to record 2 hours straight of content? I hope not. Ain't nobody going to watch that and editing that much video would be a pain. I've found that for my excursions, the battery life and memory have been more than enough. Unless you need 2 hours straight of recording, just figure out how to record the interesting bits.
Now, the integrated memory and battery make this camera waterproof up to 5m. I've taken the camera snorkeling and dove with it. The cheaper version of this camera requires the microphone to be plugged, but the 4k version does not to be waterproof.
The camera has a single button with a multicolor LED. Something that I appreciate on the 360fly 4k is that it vibrates in addition to the light to give feedback for button presses. This means that if the camera is mounted to you, you don't have to look at it to know that it is recording. Just feel the buzz.
Lastly, the form factor is great for an action cam. Yes, it is kinda dense and the problem with one large lens is that I'm always getting hand and finger prints on it. But, I have no problems chest mounting this, or mounting it to my helmet or handlebars. It isn't particularly obtuse, either, compared to some of the competitors. Being round, I will admit that I'm afraid that I'll drop it, but it has a grippy exterior and comes with a neoprene carrying case.
Software:
I've used both the 360fly app and desktop software. While traveling, it was great to be able to post 360 video to facebook. The software is very simple, and not super feature rich. Occasionally the android app required multiple attempts to get things posted to facebook. However, not sure that is 360fly's fault. Facebook doesn't have a great track record for their android app. The desktop software is very similar to the app. No advanced features, but it works and doesn't annoy me. If you just want to share stuff with your friends, it works great. If you want to professionally edit the video? Get premiere pro. Also, don't forget to set the quality to its highest before sharing to social media.
Other thoughts:
There is a learning curve with 360deg video. The 360fly does have a dead spot, but if you are aware of it you can put yourself in it and only show the interesting stuff. What I really like about this camera is the simplicity. What I mean by that is that you don't need an LCD to see what it is recording. It records everything, except directly beneath it. You don't need to make sure it is angled exactly perfect. With such a wide field of view, having it 10deg off doesn't make the video unusable. It is so much easier to get good video.
I am waiting for the integrated gps and gyro to be worth something. GoPro did something similarly with the Hero5, and finally rolled out software that uses the metadata. Hopefully 360fly has some plans, because I think there are some great opportunities to use geocoded 360 video.
Conclusion:
I'm super happy with the 360fly camera, and glad I purchased it. You should get one, too.

Does as advertised but video quality is still poor

While the FLY 4K does as advertised I found the quality still poor.
Cons: it really isn't true 4k video quality either. Its about half so it is a bit misleading. The GoPro 4 Black has as a significantly better video quality and sells for slightly lower price. needs an option to turn off the leds for a less conspicuous look during events like a wedding or meeting.
Pros:Easy to use, easy to setup. Easy iOS app to navigate through. Does the job. Build quality is fantastic. The magnetic carrying stand is awesome. No Stitching required.
Overall returning the product tomorrow and researching alternate 360 cameras.

Ok so if I told you can have all the features of a go pro. But now I said you get to record in front and behind you as well. With some basic video editing knowledge this little gem gives you the ability to record your experience much more completely.
The quality is outstanding and will get you thinking in a whole new way of film making. I honestly have no idea why you would go with go pro, as apposed to this unit.
We look forward to using our 360 in many future episodes of our show.
Its a little heaver than a standard action cam, but the enhanced features more than make up for it.
There is a bit of a learning curve when you get it, but again worth the process, and one week into having it I feel very confident with it, and really opening a whole new way to capture shots.
The camera, is study and dependable, the software is intuitive and easy to use. We highly recommend the 360 fly.

Quality 360 videos couldn't be easier

Videos recorded with this camera are sharp. They are recorded at 50 Mbps, with a 2880x2880 resolution.
To me what makes the 360fly 4K useful is the fact that I can use it as a 360 camera or as a regular front facing camera (POV mode). (good feature).
Another item is the fact that the mobile app allows you to edit, trim, and share your videos easily with out the need of a computer.
It is also nice that I received a software update that improved my camera and added new features. Keep the updates coming!
So far very satisfied.

360 Fly 4K

The 360 Fly 4K is my favorite action camera. The 360 fly is a similar size to the Gopro. It is very easy to use the camera vibrates when you press record it also flashes red so you can tell it is actually recording. The camera is amazing, it shoots in 360 video and pictures it also shoots in POV mode just like the GoPro. This camera is next level! The camera has built-in storage so you never have to worry about SD cards. it has built-in Wi-Fi and a really easy app to download on your phone. The app is really easy to work. Video and picture download super quick. There is even a feature to take snapshots from video you download. The best part is with a 360 video you never miss anything!

I don't know who would buy this "4K camera"

Trust me I know what I'm talking about....
I used this camera for a while and I wanted to like it, here are some of the reasons I just can't:
1) The low light filming and pictures are horrible, check out their website and FB, see if they ever post anything that isn't in full sun. The ones I have tried with even a few clouds came out very dark.
2) It is 360 x 240. and that is great, you can see everything around you horizontally, but vertically you are missing 120°, that means 1/3 of the screen will be black. Would you buy a TV if 1/3 of the screen was black?
3) It is expensive. At $500 I would think it would have more options. Really?, and action camera that records at the default 24FPS.
There are full 360 options at $199, $250, and $350, for $500 I dont need 1/3 of the screen to be black.
4) It gets hot and shuts down. If the camera is in a sunny or hot environment it could shut sown within 20-40 mins depending on the temperature. Not ideal when you are filming outside in the desert.
5) You cant overlay GPS, altitude, or speed LIKE THEY SAID. I was looking forward to adding that data into my videos.
6) It is not 4K, The resolution is 288x2880 that comes out to a little over the 8.2 million pixels needed for 4K, However, the corners of that 2880x2880 images are black, 22% to be exact. That makes the pixel count a little over 6 million. Way below the 8.2 million needed for 4K.
7) You can't use your phone for any 4K video longer than 5-10 minutes. The size is just too big to transfer, and to work with the desktop application, you probably will need to buy a new PC.
So in closing, if you are a professional with the right equipment, you would use a 6 gopro rig, if you are a hobbyist you should buy a cheaper full 360 option ( Theta S, Samsung Gear VR, LG) I just don't see where this 360x240 solution fits in the landscape of 360 cameras.

The Fly360 is the best way to capture 360 video. It's easy, durable and affortable. No matter what you're looking for, this camera will deliver quality for a fraction of the cost of other 360 cameras.
In addition to the great product, I've found Fly360's customer support team to be outstanding. They provided full support and delivered amazing customer service. Seriously, you can't go wrong with Fly360.

I am having so much fun with this camera. The video quality is amazing. I originally purchased the HD model for my husband and as soon as the 4K was released we pre-ordered the device. I have not used by GoPro since picking up the 360fly. Editing and sharing to FB with my iPHONE 6S is very fast. I would recommend this to all my friends. Once you try it you will never use another camera.
The one con is that the files are very large and they are filling up my 16GB iPhone. I transfer them to my PC but the files are much bigger then the HD model.

360Fly 4K is at the leading edge of the new technology of 360 video. Amazingly simple to use, the 360Fly can go anywhere I need it to. And, support from the company is the best I have experienced anywhere. They even replaced a lost item for me at no charge! It doesn't get any better than that. Great camera, great company!
