its not worth your hard earn money to buy from "Geek Squad Certified" product arrived dirty clearly was used, remote control is lock to unknown network cant link with the drone! hard to TRUST - Geek Squad ...

I bought this drone and right out of the box had issues with it. The drone would not stay still. And it wouldn't land where it left off when singalong was lost. Bad experience.

After purchasing the solo drone I got it and went to hook up my go pro camera and it had the wrong plugin on it.really disappointed it did not work with my drone as it was a birthday present then on top of the I was also charged 15% stocking fee when there was no description that it would not fit this drone l. I didn't even get a chance to fly it.

Everything was great and new looking but the remote would not charge. Had to return item.

this is a great drone if you buy it new, refurbished is a headache

The drone flew away on it's own. It went higher than the tree line and disappeared. I never found it.

The charging circuitry in the remote controller would not charge the battery.

This Drone came neatly packed and was easy to set up. Minor blemishes but is in great condition. Solo made it very user-friendly to set and get off the ground. Overall a great product!!

I have yet to use all the modes and features of this uav and will update my review over time. The difference in price is not that much in regard to refurbished and new. I have two refurb and so far so good. Packaging was outstanding and shipping was fast. Not a toy by any means. One would have to spend a lot more for a uav with so many features. Sad that 3DR is no longer producing this quad yet are providing tech support via email. I have found forums with very good information and friendly pilots who want to help. 3dr has changed their business plan and focusing on the commercial market. Appears some units have more issues than others. I have yet to mod either of my uav's. I don't understand why prop guards are an accessory for any quad. If your a new pilot as myself take it slow and enjoy the learning curve. Find a club and forums to help you get your learn on. Fly safely with courtesy. Learn the laws and follow them. This is so important as a few bad apples can really mess things up. Prior to this quad I learned on a micro then got an entry hobby level quad. I've found the cheaper quads much more difficult to fly. The solo has a lot of tech, features and fail safes built into the unit. No way could I afford a uav of this level. I'm not much of a writer yet hope this review may help even if a little bit. Solo may or may not be for you. With so many features I have a lot to learn about the solo as well as flying safely at all times. blue skies......

Just received the refurbished drone last week. Looks almost brand new, I suspect it was a customer return. Except for the fact that the battery only lasts about 7 minutes, the drone and controller it self is in almost new shape, with the latest firmware already installed. I am going to contact Best Buy and see if I can get a exchange battery. As far as the drone it's great, but I think the battery might have been discharged in setting on the shelf and won't hold a charge. Over all I will be a happy customer if I get a replacement battery

Mine came it physically looked ok. After powering it up the front leds were one light blue and one yellow. I tried using the Solex app. to get them the same, but no good. The leds are multi colored and the yellow leds are burned out in left front arm. Taking it back, its only a couple more dollars for a brand new one.

So, I had some mixed feelings when I received my Solo Drone and gimbal. The gimbal, although new, was missing the weights and the shipping foam. But my refurbished drone looked pristine. Not a mark on it, so I thought I was in good shape. While I was waiting on it to get here, I'd reviewed the setup instructions, and looked at all of the online info I could find. After charging it, I walked through the entire setup process. Took it outside, set it out in the open, and powered it up. The controller said it was "searching for GPS" Once it locked, I hit fly, and we were off. Boy were we ever. Straight up...and then to the left. and nothing I would do was controlling it. It flew around up there for a couple of minutes, came down to about head high, almost clipped me, banked away, and kept on flying. I'd tried cutting power, hitting return to home, hitting land, I did everything I could think of to shut this possessed thing off short of bird shot. Finally it decided to "land" and down it came. But the motors refused to turn off. It started back up, but lost it's cookies, and turned upside down, motors still spinning away. That finally made it stop completely. But when I picked it up, they had one more splurge left in them...that's when it drew blood. I did get the power off though-thankfully. Now the battery is locked in to the point where it won't come off, and I had to use channel lock pliers to unscrew the props so I can box this demonic thing up and carry it back. So yeah, not a good experience I'm just glad that I've flown drones before, and that I had someone else who's also familiar with them standing there to watch this thing go psychotic.

Ordered 2 Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Solo Drones. Inside a nice sturdy cardboard box was an open Solo box with some removed order sticker.Opened that up and there I see the drone shipped with battery connected.Fingerprints all over the shiny black parts.After looking it over I could tell this is just someone else's return.Maybe my fault but the description of CERTIFIED REFURBISHED would mean clean and repackaged.For the $$$ it makes more sense to get new which comes with a Gimbal.Would not buy a Geeks Squad Certified Refurbished anything after this.The 1 star was for the box they shipped the solo box in.
