I had been researching drones for a while holding out for a DJI Phantom 4 sale, and was extremely cautious about making this purchase because 3DR was getting out of the consumer drone market. But after the price point for the 3DR Solo went under $300 and included the gimbal, extra battery and props, I couldn't resist. After taking this drone through the paces, I'm super glad I made the purchase. I've had no issue with the drone other than user error. I even flipped the drone on landing (again user error) with no prop damage or any other malfunctions. I'm getting amazing shots with the GoPro Hero 4 Silver and love the ease of flying. I've recommended to many of my friends and coworkers if there are any of these left at the sub $300 price point, get one now.

I understood buying this that it was not the phantom but since I already had a gopro hero 4 I figured I would give it a try. This thing is great and stable and has so many top of the line features. Very happy with it.

I have had no problems with the drone. It flies great. I have had a couple of instances where it was slow to pick up enough GPS signal to fly. After the initial set up and Adequate GPS acquisition, it flies amazing

Beautiful product and great for learning drone basics and it does have some advanced features. Smart shots work well. However my hang up for me its weak GPS connectivity and weak controller distance. Battery was good. App is inferior to DJI. I returned and purchased DJI Phantom 3 Professional and I'm much happier. It had all I needed for less. If you have a GoPro you might like Solo. Do your own research. I think 3DR will come along but they are not there yet. Side note, GoPro video normally requires more post edit thean other especially if you do not like fisheye. Just an FYI.

Easy to fly not a toy a wonderful mix of photography and hobby flying backed up with two computers and state of the art technology

This thing's is ready to fly out of the box. It's so easy to understand and learn. Before you even fly, the app has a simulator that walked you through the flight co told and virtually let's you fly. It's so easy my kids (aged 4, 6, and 8) can even fly it with ease! I have already piqued the interest of a fee friends to go out an buy one. The autopilot flight options work without a hitch. This thing does exactly what the box says. It truly is a consumer drone for everyone!

I am a novice flyer. This drone makes it easy to fly. In the hover mode, you get learn how to fly it without crashing. You can push a button to land. It has 23 minutes of flight time with a full charge. I'm not sure if it's truly 23 mins. This is not a small drone; you will need to register it with the FAA. I downloaded an app that tells me where I can legally fly. I recommend researching FAA rules prior to flying. The setup was so easy. I'm very happy with the purchase.

This drone is excellent. The only complant is it is slow to connect to satellites. But other than that it flies perfect. Its really fast in the manual mod. Tops out at about 55mph. Lots ot fun.

With go pro and gimbal it takes amazing footage and it is very easy to fly and when something goes wrong 3dr is quick to make it right

This drone is pretty easy to operate, set up is a breeze too. It takes great cinematic video and pictures, plus BestBuy is selling its accessories half price at this point of time.

I wanted this this when it first came out, but $1100 was out of my budget. When I was looking to upgrade drones years later I seen that it was on sale and decided to pick one up. This drone is very fast, and a flexiabke platform for upgrades and camera options. Even though the company no longer makes the drone, parts are still available and cheap to get.

Drone Flys well and very user friendly my only gripe is that it doesn't come with a gimbal. The fixed gimbal is ok but to much vibration and jello.

Awesome quadcopter with multiple learning options. Great stable platform and even better price point.

I should have bought this a long time ago. Learned to fly it in one afternoon. Takes great pictures with my GoPro camera. Battery lasts about 20-25 min with full charge.

This drone is more capable than the $1000 drones sitting right next to them. Adding a gopro to it allows you to have both a flying camera and a separate camera for you to use in non flying applications. The drone itself is rock solid and fun to fly. I have talked this product up so much that I have had multiple friends by one as well. Great online community that are willing to help and assist with future support for this product.

The 3DR Solo is an amazing machine. It works as advertised and will work even better when the overdue 3 axis gimbal is released and in stock.

While easy to fly, I would not recommend this to a beginner. Build quality is great and service from 3DR is outstanding.

Easy to maneuver and works well with GoPro camera. the follow me and return home features are cool.

The drone was an awesome purchase. It can be used for multiple things! Fun, business, etc....

By far, the best drone in its price range! It is superior to some of the DJI drones at a franction of the cost. If you already have a GoPro, buy this drone!
