Well designed and easy to use once you get over the training phase , RECOMMENDED USE IT FIRST TIME IN VERY OPEN FLAT AREA !! I got cocky and confident and ebbed up crashing it into my retaining wall in my yard broke one of the props. Not to worry they are available, also recommended to purchase extra set of props , also the hero 4 is the only GoPro that works correctly with this drone as it was built and designed just for the hero series GoPro

this drone is awsome, only thing i would change is to have it fit the reg size ipad's

Saw this drone for sale on Cyber Monday and thought it would be something definitely to look into. Did some searching around, read some reviews and watched a few YouTube videos to trigger the purchase. Got it on sale for $350 and couldn't beat the price. Unboxed the drone, updated it, topped off the battery and took it out for the first test flight. Worked amazing. Only downside is you have to own a GoPro for it to be worth while.

I was the best I got last year. 100% stable, ready to fly and total safe even for newbies.

The drone flies great and I recommend it heartily -- IF you're willing to use the 3DR internet community as a resource since 3DR has gone belly up. So you get a great discount, but know there won't be a company backing your product.

This has been a great "drone"! Easy to set up and fly. I had an issue with removing the battery. It was hard to grip the battery, it was slippery. The app works well and it's really easy to see what you're doing. Awesome product. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a drone!

I bought this as a black Friday bundle. Drone, gimbal, battery, backpack and extra props all OTD for $425. As my first drone i think its a great toy. Unboxing and assembly took around an hour, add about 30 minutes per battery which were half charged from the box. Technological set up took some time too. Downloading the app was simple enough, but after some trial and error I found that I could not view the camera setup until I updated my gopro app for my Hero4 silver. I registered with FAA. Next came acquiring the GPS signal which took a few minutes, outdoors. After all that was said and done my initial flight was pretty exciting. A fully charged battery, low wind speed, temp at about 30*F, gopro and gimbal recording yeilded about a 10 minute video with around 1/3 of the battery remaining. The veiws I could see with it were spectacular. First time setup was a bit annoying but over all seems like a good product. Im looking forward to getting more use out of it once it warms up a bit outside.

This is a quality product for an amazing price. So easy to fly. This is no cheap drone.

Was very easy to update and put together. glad I bought it when I did, before they became scare. Very responsive and easy to fly.

For the price paid, it's a great drone. It doesn't have the latest features like obstacle avoidance, sometimes it flies away when the GPS lock isn't great, however at the rock bottom clearance price I paid, it's not cheap but it's a great teaching drone that if you lose it in the ocean won't clear out a grand from your wallet. Other than that, it sometimes falls out of the sky when it loses GPS lock.

Great Quad , Solo does have a production problem on the gimbal tho .

This drone is made for one purpose - to make it easy to make cinematic shots with little experience. With Solo's built-in Smart Shots you can easily create dolly shots, orbits (with POI) and more. I'd highly suggest getting flight training for this or any drone from a qualified individual so that you can respond to in-air emergencies (powerlines, trees, lost GPS and more) instinctively.
