I purchased the drone early December and planned to take it with me on a road trip to take some cool videos over Christmas and new year. Unfortunately on its second flight in an open area, it crashed on its own and broke my gpro 4 black. I sent the log file immediately to 3dr support team, and they replied that the crash is due to the drone's problem (their reply attached). Worth to mention that it is already 2017 when I got their reply. So since the drone totally missed my trip, I was trying to get full refund. It lost its value now as I'm not a person to shoot over the weekend. Anyways, they refused to give full refund. Then I was hoping that they sent me the replacement quickly so that I may be able to return it to Bestbuy before Jan. 15 deadline for return (later found that Bestbuy won't be able to accept replacement returns). However they would need the damaged drone before they process the replacement, which means I will have to take whatever they sent me since it past Jan. 15 definitely. Then the worst part comes, they told me the replacement is a like-new done (also attached they reply.).... So I am gonna get a used drone, probably refurbished. This is really hard to accept. I can't believe this is happening. Also note that the drone crash broke my gpro too!! And they don't give credit for that.. I am really disappointed with their product and customer support. Today I realized that the price has dropped. Don't know what to say. BTW, I don't have my replacement yet. This is my own experience with 3dr solo. Hope it helps.

Unbelievable, I bought one over a year ago and love this drone, but I didn't have the gimbal, so I bought the solo with the gimbal for just what the gimbal costs, what a difference in my videos! Doesn't matter what people say the Solo has by far the most friendly open sourced software of any drone out there.

I have wanted a drone for a year or so now and decided to buy this from Bestbuy whilst they had a good promotion. I have used it a few times now and have enjoyed every minute of it. It is easy to use and learn and gives tuition on how to fly.

Extremely happy with the functionality and options that are offered. The drone itself is great for a first timer but also doesn't feel basic! We have used it on countless vacations already! I recommend having backup batteries because you will enjoy flying it and one battery pack is not enough!

Bought this thinking it wouldn't be just like the $100 drones I bought before. I was wrong. This thing is sooo much fun and the views with a GoPro are phenomenal. Can't go wrong with this little gem.

Very nice drone for starters. I am trying to use it for advance works (aerial site surveys) et al, but it needs add-on software/licenses. However, for the price its an excellent way to start for the future :)

I was very skeptical at first when buying this drone. If you are into a budget drone and want something that works this is a great way to go. Make sure you have at least a Gopro 4 if you want to take still shots. If using Gopro 3 silver you will need to drop the firmware down to version 2 and setup for one touch record. Every time I fly this thing it just amazes me how easy it is to fly. Also you can use the cheap Sj4000 series and a few other action cameras as long as you just want video. Just set up for one touch recording and you have a live video feed. These action cameras will not work with add on gimbal unless modified. The HDMI cable faces the wrong way and the gimbal has a Gopro interface built in.

While 3DR is no longer selling consumer Quadcopters, Best Buy still stocks parts and look for FB groups as well. I've been wanting this Quadcopter since last year when it was $1,200 but now for $299.99 I assure you that you will not find a better quad for this price. It's honestly one of the best ones I've even flown and it has so many features though it's app. I recommend you buy two at this price, one for parts. Please make sure you read through the manual and join a group to get the best out of this Quadcopter. I am really happy with my Solo and I'm sure you will too.

Easy to operate and update. Great for all skill levels and user experience

This is not only an awesome drone. It an awesome deal. 3DR no longer makes this drone, but if your looking to take the next step from your indoor toy drone, this is the one to do it with. Keep in mind this does not gone with the GoPro, but FYI you don't need to have one in order to fly it!

I love this drone the only problem was the slow gps and after watching acouple of YouTube videos this things Almost instantly locks into gps.. bestbuy dropped the price a couple of days after I purchased it and getting them to refund the difference was cake walk..love bestbuy love my 3dr

Now that they lowered the price, this drone with its current price of under $400 is a steal. Once one of the competitive drones at $1K, but now at under $400 is completely worth the investment

This is one of the best drones ever. I would have given 5 stars other than they do not make them for consumers anymore. Easy to fly for beginners and fully functional for advanced flyers

This drone is great for experienced or a beginner. The only downside is that they don't tell you that the gopro hero3 silver is not compatible with this drone. It took us a while to figure out that that was the problem because you can use it but it doesn't function properly.

For the price, it's the best option out there. Set up was simple, first flight was simple, and when paired with the GoPro 4, already in hand, I was flying and recording within a day.

I bought this for my son. It was easy to use and easy to set up. He was able to fly over our house and make a really cool video. It's amazing all that you can see With these. He even crashed it a couple of times and nothing broke which is always a good thing.

This was my first real Drone. ( professional ) Was impressed what they do.

This drone pretty awesome for first time users! I've tried other small and cheaper ones and I couldn't even get them off the air. Definitely satisfied with my purchase!
