I don't know how other drones work but what I love is that it hovers like 4 ft above the ground before you start flying it. It flies back to the takeoff spot when the battery is getting low. It flies about 15-20 minutes on one battery. It is like brand new and I have used it lots.

Great Pro-sumer drone for the price

Even without further support by 3DR (the company has left the consumer drone space) it is an AMAZING deal for the price. If you have a GoPro this is the best drone deal available.

Great for noobs and photographers

Well pops is flying it and loves the smart modes that allow me to focus on scenes instead of flying...although you can crash if not careful
