Got crashed and difficult to find new body. Replace the parts seem hard to find.

I've been in the quadcopter hobby for little over 3 years and have flown with DJI F450, Lumenier QAV250, Nanos, and multiple DIY race quads. Upon opening the box I have to say this thing is beautiful compared to the new Phantom 3s. Build quality is very nice and tight. Also designed by the same people who designed the Xbox One. The Solo is light and most of the bulk is the battery itself. It comes in a nice semi-travel case for transport. My first flight was great and dialed as expected from 3DR. The controller has many option for flight preference and great for beginners an experience pilots (beginners should start on cheaper drones so you won't have sad face when you crash this thing and you will). I'm impressed with the smart shot options and it's UI is simple and very easy to use. Exceptions! This will be complete when the gimbal gets here for more smooth video but it still pretty nice shots I get from the fixed gopro mount. Overall! Great quadcopter and sold build. One of the smartest or IS the smartest hobby drone out today.

This is a great value for this drone if you already own a GoPro camera. The downside is 3dr is no longer supporting the consumer drone market.

Great first flight but then computer failure. On my second solo but still no gimbal. This is an aerial filming drone with jumpy footage. Bad purchase

The only problem I had was the additional plug-in lights did not work I'm still working to solve the problem

I knew this drone had some issues from prior research before purchasing. It seemed worth it since the general opinion was that it was a good value. Unfortunately, it never actually worked. The drone didn't connect to the remote, rendering it useless. I rated it a two just bc if yours by the off chance actually works, it would be a good value. Plus it arrives super quickly.
