Not going to lie. Knowing how 3D Robotics stopped support on the consumer drone I was hesitant to get this. But am I glad I got it. For the price you CANNOT find another like this. This is a professional quality drone with professional features! Get it! You won't be sorry!

Great drone at an amazing price for the options included ..easy set up and operation

This is a great drone to learn on. It is easy to get in the air and it is great for getting just the right shot using the GoPro camera. The added gimbal is stable and always reliable. I would recommend this copter for anyone starting off in the wonderful world of drones.

The 3DR SOLO Is not for beginners. It's a great drone and I love the come feature. Only reason it's getting a 4 star is because you have to order all parts and accessories online. I would very much rather be able to go to the store and pick them up right away I stead of waiting a week for them to come in the mail. So if you do buy this order lots of extra propeller's right away because you will need them. And also buy only a gopro hero 4 and up anything below wont work. Wish the hero came with it to.

minor early bugs... 3dr is great at listening to probems and fixing them in a timely fashion! Would recommend to anybody looking for one of these machines

I purchased this drone after reading about various entry level drone reviews. The biggest factor was price, since company is no longer in business, the bottom fell out of price. People purchased this drone for 1200 to 1400 2 years ago. I paid $299 with gimbal. Therefore, risk reward was there for me and I did not have to worry about crashing or damages. Now for the technical part of the review. Everything was easy to use outta the box. The only issue I had was connecting to GoPro 3+ Silver. It was not compatible but I downgraded firm in GoPro and at least I could watch flight for practicing my control of drone. All in all worth the money if you can still find one and you won't be disappointed.

I think this is a great first drone. I purchased it for a relatively low price and have flown it on several occasions already. Most recently I took it on a hike to Feather Falls where I then flew it towards the fall and captured some great shots coming up towards the top of the falls and then going back down and recording. Only drawback is that it does not go as far as the range that they tell you. It may go a couple blocks and then it loses the signal and comes back to where it took off from. It does not come with a camera but that's why it's so affordable and if you have a good GoPro camera then you are good to go.

With this on sale, this is a wonderful way to get into flying cameras if you already own a GoPro Hero4. I have been building and flying these quadrotors for years and while there is fun in that, this is refreshing to have something that I can just take out and fly. It's great to be able to set everything up and go. Be aware when you first power it up, you'll need to update everything through the app but I found there were no issues with the process. If you do have issues connecting to the WiFi hotspot that is set up, double check you typed the password in correctly because I had an issue once where it wouldn't connect and with no errors telling me what was wrong, it appeared to try to connect but never would. Turned out, it was a bad password. Please be safe with these since the props can really do some major damage to you.

I had been enjoy to fly rc Helicopter , air plane and rc car truck many years, before I don't think I will buy and fly the drone but when I saw BestBuy sale 3DR-solo .just try to buy one with good price and after few more fly I really like the way 3DR control and fly,but the battery seem too short but still better on Helicopter , bought two more one for my son and another one for me to set up just sport fly no camera on it . reffer to my two friend to buy this drone too if you want to begin or fly drone,this 3DR is a good drone to fly only problem I have to buy new gopro hero 4 but I can use on the motorcycle ride , highly recommend this drone , Don't listen someone talk bad about it, just fly and made any adjustment by yourself and enjoy to fly . I wish solo they still made and sale more accessory

Before I buy a drone I was looking for price and durability and at the end this is a good drone because you can change the Camara for best quality. You don't need to change drones..

Bought this drone because of its ease of use out of the box. I flown very small quads indoors and in the backyard but never anything as big as this. The Solo makes flying easy for a newbie. I didn't have any problems charging batteries, connecting to WiFi, getting updates, and getting it in the air. Would highly recommend the Solo to anyone wanting an advanced drone or looking for a solid platform to get into the hobby. Flight times are below stated but that seems to be the norm for most quads. Hopefully flight times go up some once the battery has been cycled several times.

This is an excellent drone that I have owned for about 2 months. It flies great and is very responsive but compared to DJI, the range is miserable.

This solo drone is the best drone on the market for it's price range. It is very easy to get out of box and get started flying. I like that the camera can be use for other things, instead of being permanent on drone. Love it!!

This drone has been everything I was hoping for. The included features all work flawlessly. Smart shots, follow me, I've played with all of them and have been very impressed by the capabilities of the drone for the price. :)

I Have been using this since I got it and love how easy it is to set up and then fly. I have had my kids use and even my wife. right out of the box follow the instructions to get it updated and after the batteries were charged we hooked up our gopro and got some amazing shots in minutes. love everything about this drone and the videos we are going to make.

Firstly I'll admit that before purchasing this drone I became comfortable flying smaller drones from radio shack that lack GPS tracking and require constant input from the controller to hover. With that being said, flying this drone out of the box was a breeze after the initial software upgrades. Because 3dr won't continue to support this drone and every retailer is trying to liquidate their stockpile, I practically stole this drone at 300 bucks, WITH the gimbal included for free!!! You couldn't possibly go wrong with buying this setup.
