My house was struck by lightning just last week. The outlet this was plugged into - fried. The surge protector? Fried. The 2 iPhones, 2 Kindles, and MS Surface that were plugged into said surge protector? All A-ok!! To think that little thing took the hit of a lightning strike and not just a power surge - and still saved all of my electronics is nothing short of amazing. He gave up his life to his duty to protect others. Rest in Peace, little buddy.

The item is awesome if you have several devices you are charging. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

I could not find any extra extension cords at my house. I went out shopping and came across this Insignia 4 outlet power hub that has 3 USB units for charging the tablets, cell phones, etc. This comes with a power surge protection. This hub just plugs into the outlet. No more cords to deal with that are on the floor. Since it is higher up than the floor plugging in USB items to charge is easier. You no longer have to get those extra long USB cords to plug your items into a extension cords that sit on the floor. This is the one item that I would buy more of to replace those extension cords. Just think - just one of these you went from a 2 plug outlet to a 4 plug outlet with surge protection and 3 USB Ports.

Bought to Have 3 USB Ports in a Kitchen Area, plus a few extra AC Plugs. - It did seem a bit overpriced.., but it does have a quality look to the design, compared to some other cheaper looking, and cheaper priced similar type items. The 3 USB ports are Useful to Me (in Our Kitchen Area) to Charge my Garmin Fēnix 5S Smartwatch every 2 weeks or so.., and our Two iPhone's Regularly, and the Few extra plugs are used to Charge 4 Outdoor (Yard) Equipment Rechargeable Batteries (You do cover up an existing 2 plug outlet, so you Gain Two Extra 120vac Outlet Plugs). The only thing it is missing is a long mount screw in the center of the 4 120vac Plugs area, so it would be Firmly held into the 120vac outlet that you choose to plug it into... When you pull an AC plug out, it will pull the device Out of the wall outlet power plug.. Not really a big deal, once you note (the first time this happens) that you Need to hold this adapter device, as you Remove AC Plugs from it.. (hence the 4 Star Review).

This compact USB charge simple plugs into a wall outlet. It has 3 USB ports that are strong enough to charge tablets as well as phones. I like that it simply plugs in and basically provided a recharge station for the family devices.

Purchased this product so that we can have access to more outlets than rather having solely two outlets- and we are not disappointed by this hub! It’s very compact, a bit bulky but still compact. Works well and includes 4 outlets and 3 USB ports which come in very handy when wanting to charge multiple items at the same time. With this hub I’m able to charge all of my devices such as my computer, iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad by connecting them all to the hub and still having outlets empty for other uses. Overall, I’m very content with my purchase and this hub has come very in handy. It is small and portable so I’m able to take this with me everywhere.

Good surge protector. USB outlets are a nice touch and the minimal design is good for expanding a 2-outlet power source. A little pricey though.

Great product to have, especially if you have limited space. Obviously I could plug in a cable somewhere else, but this is the most handy thing I've purchased in a long time. Have 2 tablets and a phone that need charging. This thing takes care of it all. Everything now plugged in to the outlet behind the chair I plant my rear end in to 90% of the day. No more bringing a tablet across the room to charge. Buy it. It works great and is handy as h@#l!

If your are tired of the clutter of all those USB chargers hanging our of your outlet, this provides an easy aesthetic solution. No more charging bricks since they are built into this gadget, which just plugs into any OPEN dual outlet (this requires both outlets because a post at the bottom plugs into the ground on the bottom socket to provide stability) It's pretty thick so will not provide a flush look but offers surge protection, which is a plus. The three USB charging ports each provide max power (2.1 amps) for phones, tablets, etc so charging is quick as with most bricks (but not special fast charge systems) There are four regular AC outlets too but are bunched so closely, that plugging in any other AC adapter brick type charger will block most of the other outlets. There's also a little green light at the bottom, which also will be blocked if you use any AC adapter brick on the bottom position. If you can live with those shortcomings and the relatively high price of this gadget, it gets the job done.

This is a pretty straight forward product. You get what you see. If you are looking to expand a two-plug outlet with four plugs and three USB ports, this is exactly what this product provides. It is a sturdy product and we really like having the USB ports and not having to have an extra USB/plug transformer to charge our devices. The only issues, which are minimal, is that (1) there is no way to screw it in, which means that sometimes the unit comes out of the wall when you are trying to disconnect something plugged into it. Not a big deal. and (2) occasionally we have difficulties getting a plug to fit into one of the electrical outlets. I haven't figure out what's wrong, but usually a little bit of force fixes the issue... or we use another set of holes instead. Overall, this is exactly what we were looking for and are enjoying the extra plugs and USB ports.

This is a great product to plug into a standard outlet. This turns a 2 plug outlet into a four plug as well as adding 3 USB power plugs. The USB plugs allow you to charge your USB gadgets like iPhones without using the large square plug - just plug the USB end right into this outlet.

This is a great surge protector for the price. The addition of USB charging ports sold it for us. Our TV and video game are plugged in, plus the charging cables for the controllers and Google Chromecast. I only wish it either had one of the plugs sideways or had it on the side of the device!

This item is perfect to convert a standard 2 position outlet into 4 outlets and 3 USB connections. One USB charging station is never enough for the items we have today that need to be charged consistently. This unit solves the need for multi power AND USB plug-in stations. It also has a good look.

I bought this "Insignia - 4-Outlet 3-USB-Port Power Hub with Surge Protection" at best-buy and it seems to be doing the job better than some well known brads out there. We haven't had much surges or storms to fully test it, but the 3 USBs are working all at the same time very well. So far, so good!.

So, first of all, this is described as having "2.1 amps to allow for fast charging" which I was excited for because I wouldn't need to use my wall adapter to fast charge my phone. This is not the case, the usb ports do not fast charge. I didn't think it was a huge problem, so I plugged in my average-sized Samsung wall adapter to find that nothing else will fit into the ajcent socket. In fact, if you attempt to plug anything but a small cord into this, nothing else will fit. Xbox cords, nightlights, chargers, adapters.. So, in essence, I'm back to only having 2 accessible outlets; granted, with surge protection.

works great, instead of just two outlets I get four plus an additional 3 usb slots. I can plug all my devices in one place instead of having them all over the room. I usually just have 2 usb slots used and 2 outlets used. I don't want to overload it, but it does what I need it to do.

Product delivers exactly as advertised. Small and neat, yet allows many items to be plugged in simultaneously. The three USB ports are a great addition, allowing charging of devices while say at one's desk. A simple but highly useful and effective power hub.

I purchased this product because so many of my electronics require USB charging ports to charge. With the 3 available ports on this plug plus the regular outlets it allows me to keep my fitbit, cell phone and ear buds charged and ready to go!

I plug my IPhone and Apple Watch up to the USB hubs and my lamp and alarm clock into two of the outlets, still leaving me with two outlets to spare. Couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Highly recommend! Bought my Mom one last year and she has been very happy with charging speed. I bought myself one and has not been disappointed - keeps all my electronics in one location. Love it!
