Definitely worth it on receivers.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't buy this product for everything.. but on receivers its great. I bought a receiver black friday 2015 and it died before the extended holiday return policy was up, so I exchanged it for another and then made sure i bought the GSP. Well, that receiver died again 13 months later. Best buy reimbursed me the full receiver cost due to the receiver being under manufacturers warranty still(didn't send out to repair facility which could happen if you're out of manufacturers warranty) and I bought a different brand, hopefully this receiver lasts longer, but if not, I made sure to buy the plan again. Something this expensive, the core of your home theater is worth it, I also highly recommend it on headphones.

Well worth the investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most of us pay $10-$12 a month to insure our smart phone. For $89, I am insuring a $500 A/V receiver for $.53 a month. That is value and peace of mind. I just replaced my past A/V receiver after the HDMI pass thru card went out after only having it for three years. I could have really used this insurance plan. Knowing that I am 100% covered if anything goes wrong and that I can bring it into any Best But shop and have Geek Squad repair or replace my new receiver and I am covered for four years, that lets me sleep a whole lot better at night. I know many people think the insurance plans are a waste of extra money. Wait until something happens, and you will be happy you insured a big purchase.

Thank you Best Buy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never buy electronics without protection. Not much more to say... Panasonic used to be my favorite brand... purchased the ultra high def b-ray player, 999$ died 2 weeks after purchase. Glad I had Best but on my side. Manufacturer was going to have it for 3 months or more. Shipping payed by me? Also purchased Phillips ultra player (has Panasonic chip/good reviews) died in a week. Glad I had Geek squads protection. My top of the line Sharp ultra HD tv has been repaired and looks like it needs more. Again protection is helping me. Thank you Berry and team.

Bought this to avoid any problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though the Pioneer AVR I bought has a 3-year warranty, which is not bad, I didn't want to have to deal with Pioneer in case there is a problem. It's just a lot easier to have Best Buy handle things if there's a problem. In this case, the cost of the extended warranty also bought an extra year, but the main reason is to be able to get things taken care of without having to find an authorized Pioneer repair place.

Transparent but almost dry
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very much like the Yamaha line of receivers. They are easy to setup and provide a number of advanced features. My only complaint is that listening almost felt as though the music had been dried out too much within the D to A conversion. Was able to fix it with a little bit of advanced adjustment but would have loved to not need any changes.

Hopefully I won't need it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to go to the nearest Best Buy to purchase an extended warranty on my Sony Walkman MP3, ironically on the last possible day that I could get it. I take it to work and use it at home regularly, so I figured it would be a good idea to invest $40.00 to give me some peace of mind, this Walkman wasn't cheap.

Denonx4000
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy protection plan is always protecting my equipment and later on with tech unfortunately really doesn't help if you can use it when the receiver dies two years or even 16 months after buying check with the manufacturer warranty before perching purchasing a warranty through Best Buy receiver came with 3 years

Excellent addition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whenever I buy an expensive electronics product, I will get the protection agreement along with it. If I drop $400 on a pair of Bluetooth headphones or a video game console or a new camera or whatever, I want to know that I'll have the protection for a number of years just in case.

Hope to not have to use it but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm pleased with what the protection covers (power surges, etc) that manufacturer's warranty won't cover. It bugs me that the warranty starts the day it's ordered, not received, but hopefully that won't be an issue if anything ever goes wrong. Hope to not need it, but good to know it's there.

They always hold you down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They always got your back. If you need a repair, they got you ASAP, if you need to exchange them, they hold you down, and if you try to use the warrenty on clearance items, they compensate you with either a gift card, store credit, or a different item altogether.

Great Warranty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A 4-year warranty on headphones is a great investment. My headphones lasted a little over 2 years before one of the earbuds stopped working. The return/exchange process was very quick and easy to get a brand new pair of headphones.

Geeks Rock!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geeks are the best! I bought this for my new receiver that was replaced for free. I had an Onkyo receiver that couldn't switch from 1080 to 4K successfully so they swapped it out for another brand - Yamaha. Best experience ever!

Sounded great for 6 months, then the HDMI out died
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I decided to upgrade my home theater receiver I did quite a bit of research and decided the Pioneer SC-91 was the best option based on reviews and a good sale price. The ATMOS really made a difference in my theater room. Sadly right at about the 6 month mark (and maybe 40 hours of actual use) the receiver no longer output video. While it is under warranty and currently out for repair, I am really disappointed. How much money do you need to spend in order to get quality? My $400 Onkyo HDMI board died after a few years, is this the new trend in the industry? Maybe I got a lemon, not sure, but I'm glad I also bought the additional 4 year warranty.

Good choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually get these warranties but i highly recommend if you are getting HD TV as technology is sometimes in Beta stage and BB will replace with new TV if one you bought dies or gets defect

ALWAYS GET THIS!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always get this on any audio equipment I buy because like it or not, stuff stops working past the manufacturer warranty; sometimes just a month afterwards. This is a life saver

Bend Oregon geek squad is phenomenal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had Ray come to my home three times to setup different receivers. His knowledge is excellent along with his job performance. Well worth purchasing geek squad and all the agents are excellent in Bend.

Peace of Mind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My pair of B&W headphones have a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer but I trust that geek squads plan would be the most convenient especially because there are stores everywhere for me to visit
