There are a number of manufacturing issues with this refrigerator. They’re largely cosmetic and none of them impact the functionality of the refrigerator.

It makes ice great, however its not easy to clean and if your water is hard in any way you have to clean it twice as much to maintain the functionality of it. If you don't mind that then its definitely the one to choose.

Glad I purchased the 4-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection, as It covered an non-repairable item I purchased at 14 months of use, so, if I had not purchased this, I'd be out about $700 as the 1 year factory warranty would of been expired. But, discovered that once the defective device was deemed not repairable, and I was refunded my original cost of the item, that if I had purchased another identical unit to replace the defective one, that I would not be able to use the remaining years of this 4-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection I would have to purchase another Standard Geek Squad Protection for the new device. Since I did not use the entire 4-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection, I would think that I could use the remaining 'balance of time' to apply to a replacement unit.

Never used it so pretty much a complete waste of money.

I love the Ice but before the one year mark this thing breaks. Have bought 2. Not worth the price.

It’s just okay, I keep this fridge outside by the pool under a covered patio. Regardless of what setting it’s on it either freezes items in the fridge unless I put it at the lowest setting but then doesn’t really cool off items. Freezer works well and does the job. I might be asking a lot of this little inexpensive fridge cut I have to empty the fridge once every two weeks and scrape off ice around the interior of the fridge.

Have not attempted to use this warranty yet. Time will tell if it is needed.

I called geek squad for my item and because it had manufacture warranty, i felt the geek squad didnt want to make this their problem and using the manufactured warranty voids this one?? Why must you pay for extended coverage before manufacturers is out

We were forced to get additional protection on the new ice maker, as the TWO insignia brand ice makers we had before were trash and quit working.

I like I can change from small to large cubes. The ice starts melting in basket while another batch is being made,I have to drain the basket of excess water before putting ice in freezer and it still frezes in clumps. It has a small water chamber holds about 25 ounces.

I bought this along with an expensive computer. The fan went bad months later. So the new computer was sent for repair .took weeks . Still having fan problems.

Would have had to wait 4-6 for a return so had to get a geek squad membership for $54 in order to junk out the item and get a new one same day despite having geek squad protection on the item

it started out great and now my power lights and fan are making odd noises and not making ice

Is only a warranty is not a purchase dryer and refrigerator and washer

So far I haven't used the Geek Squad Total Protection Plan for appliances in my apt. I have taken my very small Gateway notebook laptop for virus removal etc...I just don't understand why I must incur extra cost to have Geek Squad Total Tech (Home) evaluate the condition of my portable Air Conditioner.

They replace my ice maker machine when it quit working

Geek Squad doesn't help with anything for real. It seems that people are paying for extended warranties for nothing.

We like this product but it is extremly hard to clean. The glass on the inside can break very easily. Becareful when you buy this iif you spill things in you fridge

Havent had to use it yet but im about to call them to see if they can fix or replace my fridge I bought last year so fingers crossed in hoping they can help me with my fridge not working properly!

Normally I never get an extended warranty but bought my parents a replacement fridge that had worked for o Ed 30 years. Didn’t want to chance the replacement not working after 1-2 years.
