A Return to Form For Jay-Z!

I'm one of the few people who still buys CD's, but not just for anyone or anything. It's only if it's an artist I love and/or an album I truly love. I own every single one of Jay-Z's albums as physical CD's, so when I first streamed '4:44' the night it dropped, I almost immediately knew I had to buy the physical copy. I was not let down. The album is amazing and the CD comes with THREE additional bonus tracks that aren't on the digital version. Well worth the purchase. Welcome back, Jay-Z!

4:44 is the most vulnerable album Jay Z has ever released. This is his response to his wife Beyonce's critically acclaimed album "Lemonade". With powerful songs such as "The story of O.J.", "Kill Jay -Z" , and my favorite that I keep on repeat "4:44" this album brings a perspective to hip hop that has never been seen or heard before. If you are a fan of Jay Z this album is for you to see how much he has evolved in the 4 years since we last heard from him on the Manga Carter album.

Simple and plain, this is for the grown folks. Jay Z isn't at his best flow or even lyrically but this is his best content. I felt what he was sharing for sure. Like all of us, we need to take a minute and reflect where we've come from and where we want to go. He had to Kill his ego, share the real truth and then what the Legacy. I had to listen several times to catch everything. My favs are the Story of OJ, Moonlight, Smile, 4:44, Family Feud & Bam.

This is one of the worst Albums Jay-Z has dropped. There is one good song on it and not the best at that. I would not spend your money on this cd.

I just HAD to buy a physical copy of this album even though i am a TIDAL subscriber and have had access to Jay-Zs 4:44 since its debut. I was pleased to hear the 3 additional songs that were added to the album. Smooth production, great lyrics. Overall its cohesive. Beyonce show alot of vulnerability on Lemonade and JayZs 444 delievered the answers the fans needed to come full circle. I love what the Carters have done!!!

Grown Folks Hip Hop. Introspective album where he delves deeper then the surface on a number of relevant personal and societal topics. This isn't for those looking for club bangers. It's for those that are trying to hear some soulful hip hop and push their own growth. He definitely drops jewels in this. Pushes the growth of hip hip forward.

Not Reasonable Doubt Jay-Z but definitely a breath of fresh air for today's Hip Hop as I grew up listening to 90's Hip Hop so not a fan of too much of the Trap Music newbies. This album is the the Jay-Z mogul with a family Jay-Z not Roc-A-Fella records Jay-Z but worth listening too on a consistent basis.

I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH THE ALBUM ITSELF, MY FAVORITE RAPPER DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST, MAKING THE BEST MUSIC OUT THERE, HOWEVER MY ISSUE IS THAT THE ALBUM CASE CAME CRACKED, AND IT WASN'T A SURPRISE TO ME SEEING HOW BEST BUY SHIPPED IT IN A FLIMSY PARCEL, OF COURSE ITS GOING TO CRACK!

Probably most grown up Jay-Z album he's ever made. Very personal and very authentic. Everything from what's happening in the US with race relations, infidelity, his mom's sexuality. I did not expect this coming from a man as personal as Jay-Z but he did not disappoint.

    Jay's Most Honest Album Yet

on 4:44 Jay-Z opens up about his greatest flaws, admitting to the world that he is still Shawn Carter, a human, and not the God JayZ. But then he flawlessly returns to God level talents over incredible beats to remind us that he still runs the game in hip hop.

I'm a jay-z fan. This album can be listened to mostly from beginning to end, unlike Kendrick latest overhyped album. I do wish he would have dropped more bars similar to what he did on 'we made it' with jay electronica. But very good listen overall..story of oj and track with Damien Marley are standouts.

As I went to open the Cd, I noticed on the front it says. "This is he 13th album". It was there like it's the title of the CD. Then as I looked for the title of the songs, there was a note that stated if you would like to get the titles tracks, visit some website. Not happy at all with that lay out. I

I think that this a breath of fresh air coming from Jay-z. There is a terrible amount of useless rap music and rappers in music industry, but this is actually an album that has substance and not just all flash. Not your typical jay-z album but definitely something the lost youth need to hear...

The fact that bestbuy had he physical album in stores first makes them number 1 in my book. However, every Best Buy's cd section keeps getting smaller. I would like for y'all to expand, give us options . One rack isn't enough. Please & thank you

I have always enjoyed listening to Jay-Z. But with the new mumble rap of today I can appreciate this album even more. I find myself replaying it over and over. The Story of O.J. is by far the best cut. I do recommend this album especially if you grew up in the 80s and 90s listening to rap.

I'm a huge Jay Z fan and usually buy just about everything he puts out. But this album was different. It's a mature HOV that we haven't heard before so I recommend listening to it even if you're not a fan of his. Definitely worth your time.
