This is an excellent system for 5.1 atmos system. The only drawback using this system is you need increase the volume very much when you are using 7.1, This is good product for the money

I bought this system specifically for the feature that offers Dolby Atmos sound. The sound quality is great and it was easy to assemble. It came shipped in a huge 100lb box so it was a little difficult to handle but well worth the trouble. Do note that in order to use the actual Dolby Atmos feature you need Blurays with the actual Dolby Atmos mix on them, but the quality even without using that feature is fantastic.

After I got best buy to get the ad online right. I bought it! Very nicely packed very easy to install the sound is great the new Atmos Is incredible the sound is all around the room in a new way. Onkyo did a great job with this new package.

The Onkyo 5.1.2 surround system is outstanding. I set up the system for my Samsung 4K TV, Samsung Blu Ray player, PS4 and Directv HD DVR. All of these components are plugged directly into the Onkyo through HDMI. There is also a front connection for a computer etc., which allows easy plug in. I did use the microphone set up, which made a huge difference. It truly feels like you are directly in the middle of the action. The speakers (2 front, 2 rear, center and subwoofer) are a little bigger than I'm used to, but they do put out quality sound. Although I'm not a true subwoofer expert, it did seem like a big bulky unit for limited need, however you will notice a big difference without it. I don't have room on the sides of my TV so I actually put the woofer along the back wall. Not ideal, but it works and sounds great. Finally, I have tried so many "universal" remotes, but for some reason can never truly use 1 remote for everything. The Onkyo remote is the first one that I can truly turn on and control my whole system with 1 remote. Takes some getting used to, but it works. I wasn't expecting much, but once I sat down with it I realized that I could use it for everything. Just make sure everything is hooked up through your Onkyo receiver. Buy this unit if you can onsale ($749) and you won't be disappointed. Contrary to the estimated delivery date, it came within 5 days. Big box, somewhat heavy, but well packed.

I'm all about getting the biggest bang for my buck. This system was just what I needed. It's plenty loud and everything just sounds great! For the price, you can't go wrong.

We had a Sony receiver for over 14 years and had to buy another receiver due to purchasing a new Tv with different cables. After setting it up which wasn't that difficult it sounds so good. I'm glad I read other reviews and researched this product. Best Buy was awesome to deal with.

Relatively easy setup. Wires for rear speakers were not long enough, had to order more speaker wire. Sounds great for movies.

This is a Great surround sound system easy assembly great sound

This had everything I wanted in a full surround sound system. I am so pleased with the quality sound this system offers. I had to initially update the system but since then I have fully enjoyed this set-up.

The onkyo 7700 atmos is a very nice theater in a box system. However my center channel in the receiver was not working but best buy quickly replaced it which I greatly appreciate

This should have lasted more than 2 yrs. I have had this receiver hooked up to a battery backup surge protector since day one so no surges could have affected it. One of the speakers stopped working and I checked the speaker to other outputs & speaker is good. I then checked the hook up wires with a multi meter & the wires are good so that means that the output connection on the Onkyo receiver is bad. That cannot be fixed. I am extremely disappointed. So all reviews will be set as poor. It was easy to set up but if it doesn't continue to work properly it is not good quality or value.

Dolby Atmos is awesome!!! I recommend this product 100% if you are looking for quality.........worth the buy.

I was personally not convinced to buy this system over Bose, but my husband did good amount of research and finally decided to go with this model. It has not even been 7 months and the system has stopped working. After lot of calls we finally got some support from onkyo warranty team and currently its under repair (no replacement policy). I am just hoping once it come back, it wroks.
