An Affordable Surround Sound System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Sound, only problem is with ARC 5.1 audio, from TV to Yamaha Receiver. Appears to be a handshake issue between TV manufacturer & Yamaha receiver. ARC allows TV audio to be fed back to the receiver through the HDMI cable. Hoping an update to the TV will one day eliminate this issue. Until then I have to change the input.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it. Great sound for the money and the room I am using it in. Hooked up to Sharp 55" and it has full sound spectrum. i am a bit hard of hearing and even I can experience to softer sounds.

Just What I was looking for!

Good thing I read reviews because that model didnt support HDR.......which my older receiver did! I took that bundle back and got this one. Speakers sound so much better than the ones I had before and the receiver does all the 4k HDR stuff that I was looking for.

Thought it was great but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So yeah, I thought this system was great. Perfect for my bedroom. Had 4k pass through. HDMI 2.2. Did Dolby and DTS. Loved this system until I got my xBox One X Scorpio. It was then that I discovered I could not get HDR in pass through. While I was able to run the video to my tv, and an optical cable into my receiver, I got the 4k HDR I was looking for, but I lost the Dolby and DTS decoding on the audio. I tried every combination of hdmi Input, optimizations on the tv, and this receiver, but no luck. I bought this unit because I thought it would future proof me and meet my needs. Now I'm spending a 1000+ on a Samsung sound bar. Not happy.
