I bought this controller when the Xbox One controller that I typically use to play PC games just wasn't responsive. I knew that I wanted a controller with hall effect sensors, as I have had drift problems with controllers in the past with PS4 and Switch controllers. I really like this one so far. First off, the controller cradle is a great touch. It has a space to keep the wireless dongle, and with the USB-C cable in the box, the dongle works inside the cradle just fine. Once I take it off of it, the controller wakes up automatically and connects within two seconds. This is great, usually controllers take around fifteen seconds or longer to pair to the computer, but this connects just fine. The controller is very comfortable. If you've held a Switch Pro Controller, it's kinda like one of those. It has ridges on the handles that have become commonplace with the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X controllers. There is a switch on the back of the controller that switches it between Xinput and DirectInput. I keep it on Xinput most of the time, because that's usually supported on most games. I game on Linux (because I could go on all day about how just awful Windows is, especially Windows 11), and the controller works just fine with Linux. I did not need to install any special drivers to get it to work, it just works out of the box. If you're looking for a good controller to play your PC games on, get this.

After much research, i decided that this was the controller for me. I bought this for my pc and it works great. This controller has multiple options for connectivity. Personally, I leave the usb dongle in the charging stand and connect the stand to my pc with usbc. There’s no fiddling around with the connection either; the controller is ready to go the moment I pick it up. The quality and compatibility is great too. I would highly recommend this controller.

Does everything I was expecting, connected easily, rests on it's dock well, feels comfortable in the hands and is a good feeling controller

I use this controller basically every day on a multitude of different devices since the 2.4ghz doesn't share the whole pairing song and dance of bluetooth. Super ergonomic, and the app lets you create different profiles, which is good for playing older games more comfortably. Only drawbacks are that the app can be a little irritating to set up, and the d-pad is a little squishy. But that's more accurate to an older NES/SNES d-pad. Charging dock is nice.

I love how convenient and fast this controller is. I use it for my pc, phone, everything!!! The latency is non-existent. Even when doing cloud gaming on my ipad!! If you want something fast, convenient as well as with HALL EFFECT JOY STICKS THIS IS IT!!!! NO STICK DRIFTTTT

Easy to setup! Great controller. Bought this to replace my Xbox One controller I was using on Steam. Literally just plug and play could not recommend more.

Great controller. I use it every day and haven't had any problems. Connects quickly off the dock, responsive, no issues with stick drift after pretty heavy use. Will definitely buy another one when needed.

Absolutely incredible controller. No stick drift, buttons are solid and easy to press. Triggers are smooth. Connectivity is instant and interference free. Feels worth $120!

This 8BitDo - Ultimate 2.4G Wireless Controller functionality and value is outstanding. I took a chance on this to replace an official XBOX Controller that suffered from constant disconnects and other stability issues. Even after updating the XBOX Controller firmware, tweaking all kinds of Device Manager, Power, USB and Sleep settings the XBOX Controller continued to be a nightmare. Bought this and I am absolutely thrilled and happy with the performance, value and stability it’s exhibited so far. Love even the textured feel of the grips and the sticks move smooth and precise. The included charge dock is so easy and even has a bottom LED indicator. It includes a bonus two programmable back buttons supported by decent enough software for customization features. I would highly recommend this to anyone, this is my first 8BitDo purchase and it will not be my last!

Probably one of the best controllers I’ve owned! I mostly use it for action games on my PC and for emulation! It comes with a charging dock and a dedicated dongle so you don’t have to worry about horrible Bluetooth delay although it does support Bluetooth if that is your preference….the battery life is about 17 hours give or take so it pretty much never dies on me during my sessions since I always rest it on the dock when not in use. The sticks are Hall effect as well so you don’t really have to worry about stick drift! The only issue I would say is I don’t like how the Dpad feels it has a sort of loose feeling? It’s not that bad but I’ve felt better on other controllers.

This is a nice controller overall. The grip takes time to get used to. Also, the fact that it will not connect to my Windows 11 machine without the included dongle is annoying; especially since it lists blue tooth as a supported mode for other platforms. Having to use the dongle is not a deal breaker just less than ideal. Given all of this I still like the controller. The included charging base is nice to have and it connects and disconnects when taking the controller on and off the charger. The buttons, triggers, thumbsticks and d-pad all have a quality feel to them. I cannot speak to the longevity of the build quality but so far so good. The review would be five stars except for the lack of blue tooth support in x-input mode is a real shame. This lack of blue tooth support is poorly communicated on the controllers packaging. Still a quality controller for my computer.

This is a great little controller for the price. I'm blown away by the features at this price point. I do wish it was easier to map keyboard and mouse functions to it, as that takes some thirdy party tools and a little doing, but for basic out of the box functionality with the majority of games it's incredible.

Excellent controller. Love not having a cord and the added charging station is a huge relief. Changing batteries all the time can get annoying. This has a simple operation. Simply plug in your Bluetooth USB to the computer and connect. Fast reactions speeds and smooth operation.

My old Xbox controller (for PC use) was on its last legs, so I went in search of something that could replace it. I was fortunate to grab this controller on sale and couldn't be happier! It's comfortable (more so than the XBox controller, even) and easy to set up. I love it's rechargeable dock, too; a charge seem to last quite a while as I have yet to have issues with it drying mid-use. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, good-quality PC controller.

Absolutely love this controller. It fits so comfortably in my hands, which is great for long time use. I love the wireless aspect of it. It makes gaming so much easier without the long cord getting in the way. 10/10 recommend this controller!!
