This documentary is absolutely spectacular! I saw this film several months ago and have been waiting for the DVD to be sold in stores. Misty Copeland did a fantastic job telling her story of success, having experienced failures along the way. My daughter is currently in her fifth year of ballet, finally in her pointe shoes and we were just so excited to be able to relate to Misty's story. The road to becoming a successful ballerina (African American or otherwise) is quite complex---it requires time, energy, talent, patience, perseverance, dedication and money (just to name a few)! It's quite ironic how this is working out for my relatives and friends...now that my daughter is the ballerina in the family, my family members/friends are spending time getting to know who Misty Copeland is and her work (quite awkward...this should work in reverse I think). Any who...great job Misty and continued success! Hoping to bring my daughter to see one of your shows in the near future...have to get my track athlete off to college first:0
