Very strange game but fun, highly recommend to everyone.

A medium linear game that has a good amount of exploration and interesting characters. Would recommend picking up a title like this and not a microtransaction filled game.

Like many of my favorite games, such as The Last of Us, The Witcher 3, to even Demon’s Souls on the PS3, some of the stealth, puzzle, and combat mechanics (which are minimal) are average to lacking at times, but made-up for ten-fold by the setting, graphics, atmosphere, acting, and storytelling. The game feels like a cross of several games but quite original in its story. Take aspects of The Last of Us mixed with Life is Strange or Tell Tale adventure with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons to Dishonored. However, I would not call this an action game. It has a slower pace. The other aspect that impressed me on this is that it is very linear and not open world like many games, but the game designers make the world feel large. When you go down a path, you can run off a ways but always get to the same point and you can see many places in distance like an objective in one case. The characters had to get to a location in a city and I felt like I would have to go through many blocks and city warrens to get there and then I did just that and it felt like it should. This is also one of the few games in a while that user reviews on Metacritic are higher than critic reviews because critics seem to rate mostly after they rush a play through and rarely review games on any degree of artistic merit. In this generation of remasters and the same old same old with updated graphics, this game is refreshing.

I thought this would be an escort mission only game! What I found was a deep drama, beautiful graphics, and an amazing experience. Trust me on this, you won’t regret this purchase!

Saw gameplay online and was hooked just by few footage I saw. Great story and mechanics were good too. Was surprised by how it wasn't really out there until I ran into videos of it online.

Beautiful game following the adventures of a 15 year old girl protecting her little brother during the time of the Plague. Absolutely love the story!

A dark, but entertaining game. I'm not a fan of the rats, but I do like the two main characters.

This game reminds me of Metal Gear for the sneaking elements and of The Last of Us for the gathering and crafting of items. If you enjoy those games then you should enjoy A Plague Tale !
