I wouldn't have purchased this one if I knew i couldn't update laptop. So ill be looking to get another one soon.

The Chromebook devices do have an end of life date, as this applies to all Chromebooks regardless of manufacturer. While Chromebooks are designed to have automatic updates, as Google explains: "end-to-end updates for all our devices to ensure the highest levels of security requires dependencies on many third-party hardware and software providers so we cannot indefinitely ensure that older Chrome devices will receive updates to enable new OS and browser features."

I didn’t even want a return. I will never purchase from Best Buy again, I’ll stick to target and Walmart for great deals with great condition items
