Customers regard the Acer 27" IPS LED monitor highly for its picture quality, refresh rate, and ease of use, frequently praising its value for the price. Many appreciate the monitor's size and color accuracy, though some find the stand somewhat unstable and the lack of built-in speakers and additional HDMI ports to be drawbacks. The absence of a DisplayPort connection was also noted as a shortcoming by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the negative comments regarding the monitor's accessories and connectivity options.

I bought this on sale. It’s a great monitor, and having a 27 inch 1080p panel over 60hz at this price is fantastic, but the stand feels a little cheap and is a pain to install onto the monitor. It’s also a bit light on ports, with only an HDMI and VGA port. Nevertheless, a great budget monitor.

I bought a 24" and 27" Acer monitor. Both are excellent in quality. I use it as a second screen for my work - good resolution, viewing angle, etc.

These reviews are mixed together; I have the 27" IPS 100hz version. I use the HDMI (digital) port for connection, but it's nice that this monitor also has a VGA (analog) input option as VGA is a past standard for older computers. To my eyes the brightness and colors are great right out of the box, and the picture is very clear. I don't play fast-action video games, so I can't comment on how well it works for those. But for text, spreadsheets, and normal web browsing (including YouTube) this works very well.
Positives:
IPS (for me) is preferable to VA type monitors. It's a small difference but if you are picky, here's IPS.
The border is very thin, thus you've got maximum usable screen space with almost no waste.
Great picture right out of the box.
VESA wall (or arm) mountable.
Choice of HDMI or VGA input.
Looks good with the power on or off.
Potential negatives (for some people):
Provided base is very wide at the bottom, and possibly difficult to attach to monitor. I tried briefly to attach the screen to the base, instructions say something about turning it to attach securely - I couldn't figure out how to attach it securely. This didn't matter to me because I planned to use a "monitor arm" (I have one from MOUNTUP) and that works great on my computer desk which is about 1" thick. But if you want to use the included base, I'm not sure how to attach it securely, and I might ding it a star for that.
The AC to DC power convertor (aka power supply) is inside the monitor, which gives it an elegant look vs. a separate power supply. However, if the power supply dies, good luck replacing it. At the price paid this is ok, and might even be preferable for some people.
The power cord and connections to the computer (HDMI or VGA) attach upward from the bottom, rather than straight into the back. Again this looks more elegant but I would prefer straight into the back, as that is easier to attach. You might need to do some fumbling around before you get it all connected.
The monitor is adjustable for brightness, colors, on/off etc. from the back of the unit on the right side. These are easily reached by "feel" once you know where they are, and which is which. One of the switches starts an on-screen "menu" that you can navigate. I made it appear but haven't tried to adjust it. This is probably how all monitors adjust now, but I preferred the old days when monitors had 5 or so physical switches on the front or bottom edge, so you could change brightness, color hue, etc. Of course those monitors were also much more expensive than today's monitors, for a smaller picture that wasn't as good as today's. Just saying that if you want to change the settings, it may take some fumbling to get the hang of it.
It doesn't have the pixel density of more expensive monitors, but for my use I don't need it the higher density. To me the picture and text looks really good from where I sit, which is about 2 feet away.
Overall this is fantastic for my uses as a VESA-mounted non-gaming monitor, and incredible at the price I paid. The only frustration I can imagine is if you use the included base/stand and can't figure out how to secure it to the screen (there must be a way, I would think, but I didn't try very hard since I was going to use an external "arm" mount anyway). Or if you do fast-action gaming, maybe it's not as good as some, but I have no idea about that.

The Acer 27” IPS FHD monitor is an excellent choice for both gaming and everyday use. The 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make gameplay smooth and responsive, while FreeSync keeps everything tear-free. Colors look vibrant thanks to the IPS panel, and the wide viewing angles mean it looks great from any position.
At 27 inches, it’s the perfect size for immersive gaming or multitasking, and the slim design doesn’t take up too much space on the desk. Setup was quick and easy, and it runs great for both console and PC gaming.
Overall, it’s a fantastic monitor for the price — fast, clear, and reliable with features that make a noticeable difference in gaming.

am a hard core gamer/computer user. I am on the computer for the entire day and for many hours at a time and having a nice screen with a lot of real estate and good crisp resolution helps with eye fatigue and strain.
Work and play are easy on this screen....
Setup. Setup was a snap. 1 HDMI port and 1 VGA to toggle between sources is nice. I wished it had Display Port option as well. VESA mounts are available to put on my mounting arms but I chose to have this as a roving Monitor. Base is easy to tilt up and down. I did wish it could rise up and down and left and right. But it's ok. Monitor came with HDMI cord and power plug and base support. Took all but 5 mins and I was up and running. Button to select menu and other options was easy.
Size is great. Nice wide screen ability. I played my hunting game and the rendering was beautiful. No buffering. Response was good no latency between screen play and mouse use. I bump up the HZ to 100 and no issues.
Graphics quality is really good. I streamed 4K flawlessly. I streamed 8K great as well.
Acer has come a long way with a solid performing monitor. I use my gaming laptop to run with no issues.
Would highly recommend this product. Nice job Acer.

This 27 inch IPS Acer monitor has really surprised me. The KA2 is not the premium no monitor you expect, but don’t underestimate it either. It performs very well. This is an IPS LED backlit 1080p, 100hz, 250 nits of brightness and 1ms response time monitor. It also supports AMD FreeSync. It is black with just two connections, 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. It does not have any speakers and on the back it has 4 buttons to access the menu. Built quality is OK, it has narrow edges and it is very light. The included stand was also easy to assemble. So easy that you can tighten the base screw with a coin.
250 nits isn't a lot but this monitor is pretty bright. Images are sharp and the color reproduction was nice and vivid. There was very minimal light bleed, the room had to be dark and the screen completely black to be able to notice it. Watching videos on it was delightful. I connected it to my gaming computer and I was able to play with the monitor max setting of 1080p @100hz with no issues. I was surprised how well it performed during gaming sessions. I did not encounter any input lag and that thanks to the 1ms response time it was excellent.
The menus are easy to navigate and it has some video presettings. I used the graphics setting the entire time as I found it to be the brightest and more detailed. The few cons in my opinion is the fact that it only has two video connections with no DP. The built quality feels cheap but again this is not a premium monitor. Overall this monitor can be used for everyday tasks and gaming if you prefer. It has a decent size and performs extremely well at this price point. In the box you get the monitor, stand, power cable, HDMI cable and manual.

I'm really surprised by this monitor. It's a great purchase for a budget PC gaming build or even as a second monitor (for streaming, twitch, discord etc). It has very nice features, like Freesync (variable refresh rate) and it goes up to 100Hz!! Granted its 1080p, so it would be a great monitor for a budget build and more than great for any competitive e-sports types of games like CS:GO, Valorant etc. What surprised me the most is that its just not a 60hz screen but a 100hz one (remember to change the refresh rate to that on windows). That plus Freesync is a winner on my book (Gsync compatible does work on nvidia control panels, albeit not officially, but I didn't see any glitches or anything bad, it was working fine).
Putting it up was easy, I like that they include everything and everything is tool less. Putting the stand together was as easy as inserting the clip in place and also they include a screw that is tooless too. They included a HDMI cable and a power cable (no power brick necessary). The size is great for 1080p gaming and the OSD was easily accessible with the mini joystick on the back to change monitor settings. The only con I can see is that it only has one HDMI and VGA (really?) port, no Display port, but hey at least the high refresh rate and VRR works over the HDMI one.
Highly recommend it for any budget build, or you could use it as a secondary monitor too, to keep an eye on discord, twitch or if you stream!! Great features for the price!

It's a pretty good for a second monitor. It only has 100hz so it's not ideal for gaming but you could game on it if you wanted. I got mine on sale for 100 bucks and don't have any major complaints. I do wish it had higher hz because the normal price is 160 and you can get a monitor from here for 170-180(normal price) that has 144hz. If you had the extra cash I would look around for other monitors for sure. This one isn't bad by any means. It has a good size, an ok refresh rate for most things. Good colors and everything from what I've seen. It was a little difficult to take it out the box because the packaging BARELY fit in the box so it was a tight squeeze. The stand was a little difficult to attach as well because you have to line 3 pegs/screws up perfectly but I struggle with those in general. Those are minor in the grand scheme of things. I don't remember what the deal was but I had to buy an adapter to plug into my GPU. I think it an issue on my part? I have a 1050 ti and my main monitor plugged into that but I bought an adapter so I could use the other slot. I do remember seeing reviews mentioning buying an adapter as well. My memory is bad sometimes haha. Overall? it's a pretty decent monitor for most things. Movies seem to be ok looking(I mostly use my main monitor for them whenever I do end up watching movies). Gaming? Could be better. I've only used to game a few times before I decided my main monitor would be better.

This is a great budget monitor that can be used for day-to-day computing. I have an Acer 20inch monitor and now this one. The size difference is very noticeable, but screen quality is good. I wouldn’t recommend this monitor for a hardcore gamer, but for general day to day computing it's great. I can look at this monitor for a long time without getting eye fatigue. Text is very clear and easy to read, and images look very nice. I did watch a couple of videos and TV shows and the clarity was like watching a nice HD TV.
The monitor comes with a stand, power cord, and HDMI cable. I noticed Acer includes with their monitor stands a tilt back or forward option. Most monitors are on a post and cannot be adjusted in this fashion, this monitor can also be wall mounted.
If you need a monitor with lots of inputs, this will not be for you. The Acer monitor only has a VGA and HDMI input. This works fine for my needs, but it would be nice to have two HDMI inputs and a VGA. The buttons on the display are on the lower back right side. The power button can sometimes be hard to find. To navigate the menu, there is a joystick control which is easy to use with a center click for OK.
Overall, this is a great day to day monitor at a budget price. I really do like the larger screen size because of working in excel. It's nice not having to do so much scrolling like you do on a smaller screen.
