Customers are saying

Customers regard the Acer 27" IPS LED monitor highly for its picture quality, refresh rate, and ease of use, frequently praising its value for the price. Many appreciate the monitor's size and color accuracy, though some find the stand somewhat unstable and the lack of built-in speakers and additional HDMI ports to be drawbacks. The absence of a DisplayPort connection was also noted as a shortcoming by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the negative comments regarding the monitor's accessories and connectivity options.

This 27 inch IPS Acer monitor has really surprised me. The KA2 is not the premium no monitor you expect, but don’t underestimate it either. It performs very well. This is an IPS LED backlit 1080p, 100hz, 250 nits of brightness and 1ms response time monitor. It also supports AMD FreeSync. It is black with just two connections, 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. It does not have any speakers and on the back it has 4 buttons to access the menu. Built quality is OK, it has narrow edges and it is very light. The included stand was also easy to assemble. So easy that you can tighten the base screw with a coin. 250 nits isn't a lot but this monitor is pretty bright. Images are sharp and the color reproduction was nice and vivid. There was very minimal light bleed, the room had to be dark and the screen completely black to be able to notice it. Watching videos on it was delightful. I connected it to my gaming computer and I was able to play with the monitor max setting of 1080p @100hz with no issues. I was surprised how well it performed during gaming sessions. I did not encounter any input lag and that thanks to the 1ms response time it was excellent. The menus are easy to navigate and it has some video presettings. I used the graphics setting the entire time as I found it to be the brightest and more detailed. The few cons in my opinion is the fact that it only has two video connections with no DP. The built quality feels cheap but again this is not a premium monitor. Overall this monitor can be used for everyday tasks and gaming if you prefer. It has a decent size and performs extremely well at this price point. In the box you get the monitor, stand, power cable, HDMI cable and manual.

I'm really surprised by this monitor. It's a great purchase for a budget PC gaming build or even as a second monitor (for streaming, twitch, discord etc). It has very nice features, like Freesync (variable refresh rate) and it goes up to 100Hz!! Granted its 1080p, so it would be a great monitor for a budget build and more than great for any competitive e-sports types of games like CS:GO, Valorant etc. What surprised me the most is that its just not a 60hz screen but a 100hz one (remember to change the refresh rate to that on windows). That plus Freesync is a winner on my book (Gsync compatible does work on nvidia control panels, albeit not officially, but I didn't see any glitches or anything bad, it was working fine). Putting it up was easy, I like that they include everything and everything is tool less. Putting the stand together was as easy as inserting the clip in place and also they include a screw that is tooless too. They included a HDMI cable and a power cable (no power brick necessary). The size is great for 1080p gaming and the OSD was easily accessible with the mini joystick on the back to change monitor settings. The only con I can see is that it only has one HDMI and VGA (really?) port, no Display port, but hey at least the high refresh rate and VRR works over the HDMI one. Highly recommend it for any budget build, or you could use it as a secondary monitor too, to keep an eye on discord, twitch or if you stream!! Great features for the price!

This is a great budget monitor that can be used for day-to-day computing. I have an Acer 20inch monitor and now this one. The size difference is very noticeable, but screen quality is good. I wouldn’t recommend this monitor for a hardcore gamer, but for general day to day computing it's great. I can look at this monitor for a long time without getting eye fatigue. Text is very clear and easy to read, and images look very nice. I did watch a couple of videos and TV shows and the clarity was like watching a nice HD TV. The monitor comes with a stand, power cord, and HDMI cable. I noticed Acer includes with their monitor stands a tilt back or forward option. Most monitors are on a post and cannot be adjusted in this fashion, this monitor can also be wall mounted. If you need a monitor with lots of inputs, this will not be for you. The Acer monitor only has a VGA and HDMI input. This works fine for my needs, but it would be nice to have two HDMI inputs and a VGA. The buttons on the display are on the lower back right side. The power button can sometimes be hard to find. To navigate the menu, there is a joystick control which is easy to use with a center click for OK. Overall, this is a great day to day monitor at a budget price. I really do like the larger screen size because of working in excel. It's nice not having to do so much scrolling like you do on a smaller screen.

The Acer - KA272 Ebi 27" IPS LED FreeSync Monitor is a nice, budget friendly entry level monitor. While it's listed as a "gaming monitor", it's probably better for the casual gamer and not the hardcore competitive gamer. That said, it is NOT a bad choice, but it does not have the 4/8K that some hardcore gamers would prefer. But it is Full HD. Another decent feature, the refreshrate is a solid 100Hz. 60Hz is generally decent for casual gaming and internet surfing. The 100Hz is even better. Again, the hardcore gamers would generally prefer 120/240/360Hz rates but the casual user would not really see any difference. From box to fully assembled was maybe 3 or minutes. Grab base, attach stand, tighten single screw and attach monitor. Simple. At 27", it has plenty of real estate. Easy to see from multiple angles and bright at 25 candela PSM, it was easily bright enough to be seen in my West facing (see pics) office. It has 1 HDMI input and one VGA. Another might be nice for some folks, but for a basic gamer/PC monitor, its perfectly fine. Another nice feature is the 3 year manufacturer warranty. Would reccomend registering it for best support. End of the day, this is a great monitor for everyday use and casual gaming, especially for the price.

    Beautiful HD Monitor

Monitor quality keeps improving. I come from the CRT monitor era. But I continue to evolve, always looking for deals and better computer monitors. I'm a software developer. I use my different notebooks (9 Windows, 2 Apples) for different projects. I keep some with older OS's for testing, others for the differing software and hardware projects I'm working on. In most situations I prefer a multiple monitor setup, almost always having a 24-27" monitor next to the notebook I'm using (when I travel I have 2 USB portable monitors). I pretty much can work without a second monitor. This Acer is light (14 lbs with stand), it has almost no bezel (allowing 2 to be used close together) and the colors are spectacular. I was surprised how vivid this monitor is. It supports a 75Hz refresh rate, which is fine for all but the most extreme gaming situation. Its display is extremely steady, no flickering. It offers Acer "VisionCare" which reduces potentially harmful blue light emissions. I thoroughly enjoyed watching (most) videos on this display. This is strictly a 1920x1080 HD monitor, not a 2K or 4K display. It does not support HDR (extended blackness, mostly having to do with video), yet its blacks are acceptable and its colors exceptional. The monitor stand offers only a tilt adjustment (no height, it can't use in portrait mode with the stand provided. But it does have 4 vesa mounting holes on the back (which is very flat). The screen has an exceptional matte finish, offering almost no glare. I personally prefer this finish on my monitors. The screen can be connected via HDMI and VGA (which might be convenient for some for backward compatibility). This is not the highest performing monitor you could purchase, but for its price you get a very high quality product. It makes a great extension monitor. The only thing I noticed was that it's black on some dark videos were not as precise as they could have been. But for day to day use it's great monitor.

The Acer 27” IPS FHD monitor is an excellent choice for both gaming and everyday use. The 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make gameplay smooth and responsive, while FreeSync keeps everything tear-free. Colors look vibrant thanks to the IPS panel, and the wide viewing angles mean it looks great from any position. At 27 inches, it’s the perfect size for immersive gaming or multitasking, and the slim design doesn’t take up too much space on the desk. Setup was quick and easy, and it runs great for both console and PC gaming. Overall, it’s a fantastic monitor for the price — fast, clear, and reliable with features that make a noticeable difference in gaming.

Very impressed for $120 dollars. Bought for my second gaming rig. Nice bright saturated colors, and really great blacks especially with it being ips. Haven’t used an ips monitor in years, but hardly any glow. The 100hz is perfectly smooth to my eyes, actually kind of like it better then my 165 VA monitor because there’s no ghosting. I would actually recommend this over other displays if you’re running something like a 2060/3060 or a 6600xt. Good job Acer. Only complaints would be for one the stand. Very wobbly and takes up too much desk space, but most people are using some sort of desk mount nowadays anyway so not really a huge issue. Second one would be no DisplayPort. Really only a problem if you’re going for a dual monitor setup because for whatever reason GPUs are only shipping with 1 hdmi port as of late which I don’t really understand. Luckily adapters are available for fairly cheap. Still would highly recommend.

Zero complaints. I’ve had a 23’ before and upgraded to bigger size. Over all runs great and is affordable. Only downside is no built in speakers so if you’re using it for gaming you’ll need a headset always. I primarily use this monitor for gaming.

It's a pretty good for a second monitor. It only has 100hz so it's not ideal for gaming but you could game on it if you wanted. I got mine on sale for 100 bucks and don't have any major complaints. I do wish it had higher hz because the normal price is 160 and you can get a monitor from here for 170-180(normal price) that has 144hz. If you had the extra cash I would look around for other monitors for sure. This one isn't bad by any means. It has a good size, an ok refresh rate for most things. Good colors and everything from what I've seen. It was a little difficult to take it out the box because the packaging BARELY fit in the box so it was a tight squeeze. The stand was a little difficult to attach as well because you have to line 3 pegs/screws up perfectly but I struggle with those in general. Those are minor in the grand scheme of things. I don't remember what the deal was but I had to buy an adapter to plug into my GPU. I think it an issue on my part? I have a 1050 ti and my main monitor plugged into that but I bought an adapter so I could use the other slot. I do remember seeing reviews mentioning buying an adapter as well. My memory is bad sometimes haha. Overall? it's a pretty decent monitor for most things. Movies seem to be ok looking(I mostly use my main monitor for them whenever I do end up watching movies). Gaming? Could be better. I've only used to game a few times before I decided my main monitor would be better.

I tried it with a old RX-580 8GB in a Dell Desktop, GTX1050ti in Asus Ryzen 7 TUF laptop. Even a Nitro 5 with a GPU with 4GB. All looked Great ! Mike R.
